Been to this spot twice while waiting to go in to work. A nice, family friendly diner. The people here are nice. It's usually busy on weekends. I have had their Monte Cristo sandwich and the Texas scramble weekend eye opener. The monte cristo is a double decker sandwich with ham, turkey, swiss cheese, and powdered sugar on top of the toast. This sandwich is perfectly stacked and holds well while eating. The toast is nice and fluffy, which is hard to get with other places. A very delicious sandwich for anytime of the days. The Texas scramble is 3 scrambled eggs, topped with chili and cheese, served with hash browns and toast. The chili cheese eggs was a nice combo, very good and cheesy and paired perfectly with a nice toast. The hash browns was a disappointment as they were undercooked. With hash browns I look for that brown crisp look to it, but these were white as a ghost and not very appealing, nor was the taste. I will definitely frequent this spot again. I want to try the Cinnamon swirled honey nut french toast.

Here we are in the entertainment capitol of the world, and yet Lancer's is a perfect, down-home, family restaurant! I was raised in the South where cozy, welcoming, well-known cafes and restaurants are the epitome of Small Town South, USA, so I felt right at home eating at Lancer's. The service was very prompt and courteous. Someone came by to refill my water and coffee quite often. The menu was broad and full of options, from "comfort food" to more healthy, but still delicious options! I ordered the Real Crab Omelet and they were not lying about the Real Crab part! There were chunks of real crab in my omelet, not the imitation kind! The coffee was great, and the dessert even better (I had the apply pie). Did I mention the omelet came with hash browns and pancakes? I got away with all of this (some in a take home box) for around $30! The atmosphere was very friendly and warm and gives a feel of familiarity that I've been missing since moving out to California. I will certainly be back to Lancer's again and suggest you give them a try if you are around!

I stopped by here maybe 6 or so years ago. And decided not to go in after sitting in my car and assessing the customers going in. We’re all one color and retired looking. Me POC past middle aged. Wondering if I would feel comfortable eating here. So recently I said I’ll try, after holding the door for a gentleman with his walker going in. I was seated quickly, attended quickly with a menu and drinks and ordered breakfast the lumberjack, basic pancakes eggs meat breakfast. Sausage was a little pink on one end. The ham was a watery canned ham entirely to salty. But the pancakes were a good moist texture, and eggs were cooked easy like I asked for. Cleanliness was on point. Busboy, waiter, and either owner or manager all checked in to see if everything was ok. I would try other things on the menu if I came back. Btw there poc staff all conscientious from the host and all around. They remembered their regulars. I won’t be because it’s just not locale to me. But I would be if it were closer. Enjoy the picture of my messy plate for your viewing pleasure !😂

First time at this place. I ordered waffle breakfast and it was good. Service was very good. Small old fashioned kind of diner. On Victory, in same parking lot as Hobby Lobby. I stopped after a trip to Costco in Burbank. I'll go back.

Where do I even begin? Don’t let the exterior fool you, this is everything you want in a diner. Seated at the counter, I watched the staff perform what can only be described as tightly coordinated work of American art. The food was great, the breakfast cured my hangover, and the wait staff was as quick as they were friendly. Best diner I’ve been to yet in the LA area. Americana at its best.
