Review Wehrle Restaurant - Buffalo

Another great restaurant! I came here for breakfast with my parents, we couldn't decide on what to get because everything looked so good! We definitely have to come back here again. The food was very delicious. We got our food pretty fast too. I think that's because it wasn't busy at all, it should be busier! A huge menu to look at, something to try for everyone. I had their French Toast, I've been on a little journey to find the best French Toast, and this is the best I've ever tasted! Definitely try it if you go here. The special for the day was potato pancakes, my dad had that and I took a little bite. Another really delicious food! If that's the special for the day, get it! The staff was very nice too.

It's an icon. A landmark. Living history. If you're interested in the true diner experience. Diners as I imagine them back in the day on route 66. Or diners people frequented back when honeymoons were spent at Niagara falls. That's what you'll get. Food is excellent, made to order. Wait staff is delightful, prices are very reasonable. I look forward to my next visit.

To put this nicely you would be better off eating at home. The soup was very salty and not much other flavor. The calamari tasted more like fishy Mozzarella sticks. The meatloaf was mushy and not seasoned. I sent it back. The meat lovers omelet was a little better.

Good food at a cheap price! I like to support the privately owned businesses. I come here at least once a week or once every other week depending on my schedule. Go for the buffalo chicken melt with hot sauce on the chicken fingers.

Dinner was great. Service was wonderful. A little disappointed with baklava. Ordered two takeout options as well and they were just as good second day as when ordered. Parking is a bit tight but overall a great experience

Always delicious and generous portions! Waitresses are absolutely the best! But there is a smell in back area ; perhaps time for rug cleaning or new seating. Sorry we just love coming here but reluctant due to smell.

Service is always great. Nice treat this visit with hearty fried baloney and Cheese sandwich as a special of the day. Great place for breakfast and lunch.

This is a hidden gem of a resturant! Family owned, wonderful staff! So many delicious food choices you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Great prices, quick service! If you have ever considered stopping in Do It!! You won't regret it!

WHAT A WAST OF TIME. We were on weds sept 10 arived 730,pm we should left then the empolyees were all talking and eating when we got it the a waitrees a while to come take our when she gave to the cook he walked to the back after 10 min came bak and stared cooking i guess but after 20 for open chix that was the wost ever may the staffs food was better becauce the cook was over talking more than perparing our food therr was only 8 other people in this place it was our frist and last time belive what you read it is the worst place in buffalo

Have been to the Wehrle family restaurant before for business lunch. Was always very good...went for dinner Saturday night..placed was packed...we ordered a couple a different dinner items. Shrimp monsoon salad. Definitely a must.. was fantastic!! And a lamb souvlaki over ceaser. Lamb was out of this world...great service great place.would definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants an amazing meal at a great price. .Tv's are a nice touch to the place. Belmont Stakes were on..will definitely be back. .

Location is everything, which is the only reason this greasy spoon stays in business. The food is terrible, the wait staff incompetent. I had to send back eggs Benedict, my eggs were hardboiled, the waitress took my fork and did not return it, when I asked for a replacement she laughed and then gossiped with a friend while I watched my terrible breakfast get cold. Conversely my companions French Toast was barely cooked and inedible. Stay away.

Long time customer, no longer a fan. I have been a fairly regular diner at the Wehrle Family Restaurant for 22 years. Tonight I went with my family. We placed our order, waited and waited. Eventually my husband went up to the counter and told them that the three groups that came in after us had their food already while we were waiting. The older waitress said the food we ordered took longer to prepare. Maybe but not that much longer. From there on out, rather than apologize and try to improve the situation the staff stayed away like we had the plague. When the food did arrive the waitress plopped it down and ran. It's not the wait staff's fault if the cook didn't prepare the food in a timely manner but it was their fault that they dealt with it poorly. I doubt I will go there again any time soon there are just too many other better options.

BEST GREEK FOOD IN BUFFALO. My family and i frequent the Wehrle restaurant often although it has been a couple of weeks due to the weather and busy with the holidays..was surprised to see a bad review posted on this site, since it is one of our favorite places to eat ,always great food ..we went to dinner on a friday night and was pleasantly reminded how great it is..guess you can't please everyone..first like to point out the restaurant was packed..our waitress was very nice and attentive to our table..we were a party of 4, 3 adults and 1 child I ordered a beer battered fish with greek potatoes.FANTASTIC!! best fish fry anywhere..my wife had the chicken souvlaki dinner also with greek potatoes..definitely the best souvlaki anywhere in Buffalo.have been to many Greek restaurants in this city ..none come close to theirs! the other person with us ordered one of their burgers..looked great..many different types of burgers always a good thing..nice selection to choose from the kids menu..the thing all of our dinners had in common. the food was hot..fresh.and falling off the plates (nice size portions) and the prices are definitely one of the best you will find anywhere in Buffalo!! It was nice to see the owner there keeping on eye on everything..glad to see everything is still running great and tasting great at the wehrle restaurant..2 thumbs up!! will be back..anyone who wants a great meal at a reasonable price.the wehrle restaurant is the place for you!

Worst dining experience in 6 years of Buffalo living. We didn't enjoy a single part of this dining experience- the service was slow and forgetful (she was pleasant but I'd rather have good service than a cheerful waitress), food was cooked poorly and when I told the waitress it wasn't prepared as ordered she just threw it out and said she would inform the cook, no offer to have it remade or taken off the bill though I only had one bite, we waited 40 minutes to get the beverages we ordered with our meal order, she never checked on us once we had our food, until she was ready to give us the bill though we continued to ask where our server was. Overall just awful. <br/><br/> We ordered Fresh strawberries and cream but received thawed, syrupy strawberries and reddi whip. The 11 monmth old at the table got them.<br/><br/> For the baby we ordered the one egg and one pancake kids meal with apple juice. The apple juice seemed to be iced tea judging by taste.<br/><br/> My friend ordered a tuna melt with tomato and fries. The tomato had to come as a side since it was forgotten and the fries were old, dried out and seemed overdone. She also had a Monsoon salad and took it home to her husband because it tasted off to her. She ordered coffee, water and a chocolate milkshake. The milkshake took 40 minutes. <br/><br/> I ordered breakfast souvlaki with beef. When asked how I would like it cooked I said medium-rare and eggs over medium. I also substituted fries for Greek potatos. The cuts of beef were cooked extremely well done, the one bite I had was tough and tasted burnt. Also, no seasoning as is traditional on souvlaki. Fries were old, dried out and seemed overdone. I also ordered water and a vanilla shake. I never received a refill on my water and the shake arrived 40 minutes after placing my order. <br/><br/> We were shocked that our server didn't offer to remove the item from the bill or have it remade. Additionally, waited 10 minutes for server to return to collect the bill and she never came back. Manager at counter seemed confused as to why we were there. Now we know why since that is the single worst dining experience I've had since moving to Buffalo. Please never go there.

LOVE IT!! Best Greek restaurant in Buffalo!!!A must for anyone who likes Greek food!! My family and I went there for dinner and has the best chicken souvlaki we have ever had!! Our waiter was excellent! Great place very clean and definitely kid friendly! Will definitely go back!

On this tuse we went for dinner the soup stuff pepper was the worst we ask her to take it away then our dinner came the chicken was dry and the pasta was all water we be going some place else from this point on or only eat here for breakfast because it seems thats the only time they cook good food most of the time the soup is outstanding but not on this day

We have been here about one a week before church on <br/>Sunday but on July 3 we got there at 1pm lets just say go <br/>early our food was just plain bad our eggs were over cook<br/>homefrys were black and cold as was the toast we ask the server Tracy what was wrong and were told that there is new<br/>cook well if thats the new way were going to spend our money at a place with better cooks as should you don"t<br/>wast your time or money

Customer. We have been coming here for years mostly during the day. In day the food and staff is out standing, But on last visit was in the evening our our food was so bad it was cold over cooked look so bad we ask our waitress tiffney to take it back she took meals in back talk to the cook call our party all kind of names and Said just let eat them the same sh!! and maybe they will leave so we can go smoke. When she returned to our table with the same food we ask for our bill payed and left, Now we tell every one not go in the <br/>evening and only go in the day when the best cook is there and ask for nick to wait on us it is only time go.

Wow I wouldn't eat and I didn't get past the phone call. I called to speak to the owner Sylvia and the women who answered the phone was so rude she didn't take my number. When I called her on this she said they have caller ID and was beyond rude and disinterested. I understand it's just a phone call, but if that's how you treat me before I come into the establishment, why would I waste the time to even come in.

The food is good eapecially the calamari and monsoon salads!! The waitors/esses are super nice. It's a real family neigjborhood kind of joint. Also their omlettes are good- the souvlaki one and bacon & cheese are my 2 favs.

It's obvious after visiting for years that the Wehrle Family Restaurant is both family-run and not trying to impress or befriend customers so much as serve them efficiently and well; on occasion, the servers can be a little brusque or seemingly impatient,
