Old Country Buffet

The girl at the register greeted us the moment we opened the door! She was chatty and sweet. The lady taking care of our area was nice, efficient and kept it spotless and dish free. The workers staffing the buffet filled pans and cleaned up spills quickly. The selection was great and everything was pretty tasty and not too over salted or spiced. I love the unlimited beverages! The frozen dessert was a nice ending. All in all, exactly what we wanted! ***Always search for a mobile coupon! Their travel cup for an add on is worth it ($1 today)!

Very disappointed... Usually the food is plentiful and hot. All the food trays were empty and ones that did have food in them were nasty. Salad bar was gross and the plates were dirty. Not to mention there were no clean silverware.The milk handles were broken and there were no pop glasses. I believe they got hit with a bus load of people, but I feel we paid just like anyone else and had no choice of foods we liked. We should have been told when we came in that there was a large party and given a choice to stay or leave.

So I went to this restaurant on Sunday. There was one person clearing tables when there should've been two minimum because of the sheer amount of tables there. On top of that, I watched her take about seven mintutes per table to clean it off, no matter the size. Suffice it to say, there was hardly a clean spot to sit. At this point we were feeling a bit off about paying what we did for this but we decided that maybe they were a bit understaffed tonight so let's just try it. We found our table and went up to the buffet. The food is sub par, but that was expected. What wasn't expected was the immense amounts of empty spaces. Again, maybe understaffed? They were out of so many things it was unreal. Both ranch containers were empty, no shells on the taco bar, no mashed potatoes, the cook at the steak bar was staring at customers that were waiting for their food. And on top of all of this, three staff members walked by all of the dirty tables, empty food platters and unhappy customers with headphones in doing nothing. The third was slowly cleaning tables and two others, one of which is supposed to be the hospitality manager, are arguing about who's job is what when the entire restaurant is in complete disarray. You couldn't pay me to return to this Old Country Buffet. I've seen far better organization in a soup kitchen. And the food was the same.

We went here on a Monday around 12:30. We saw that there was a bus and we were worried they might be too busy there but we went in anyway. There was no wait and the food was hot and plenty of it. The people from the bus weren't bad at all. We didn't even notice when they left. The location is great and it's near lots of stores. The food was great. They have plenty of meats, sides, salads and fruits, and of course, desserts. It costs extra for steak with breakfast or lunch but we didn't get that. We were good enough with chicken, fish, meatballs, popcorn shrimp, meatloaf, etc.
