Review Rin Thai Bistro - Buffalo

Love the location, friendly staff, and delicious food! My only complaints are the prices (very steep, even for Amherst) and somewhat slow service. Came here with a few friends for lunch when it was fairly empty, but our food still took quite a while to come out. The flavor of my entree was delicious though - a perfect level of spice and balance of seasoning! I judge Thai restaurants by the quality of their Pad Thai and this one was great - different from my favorite at Thai Orchid but yummy in its own way! The Thai iced tea was a good complement to the heat of the dish. In summary, I would return but likely only if someone else is picking up the check 😉

Was excited to try this place as it had great reviews and were willing to pay a slight premium for it. The location looks great, it's beautiful. Was incredibly disappointed by the food portion though and quality. Somehow spent $40 on 2 meals, paying extra for rice on the side, and got 4 tiny pieces of chicken that were overcooked and not that great. Even the sauce given with the chicken was a 30% filled tiny plastic container. On the other meal, the tofu was incredibly overcooked and didn't have much flavor. There was maybe 1 or 2 small pieces of broccoli. Had we not gotten rice on the side (paying $5 extra for 2), we would have both still been incredibly hungry and somehow still spending $30+ Confused by these other reviews honestly, maybe it's better when dining in? Bummed out because we thought we found our new favorite spot upon first finding the place.

Beautiful little spot. The food here is absolutely delicious! Got the curry of the day and it came out quickly and we both finished our entire meals. First time I had been here and definitely won't be the last! They have a nice little outdoor seating area as well.

Best Thai food we’ve ever had - and it’s not even close. Restaurant is very nice, cozy and enjoyable. Staff was great and service was excellent. Highly recommend, I will definitely be going back very soon

We visited Rin Thai today for the first time and enjoyed a variety of fresh delicious dishes. As a vegetarian it is not always easy to find entrees that are as appealing as the other entrees. I love the Tom Kha soup and the mango salad. We ordered a red curry for later and it is delicious as well. My only comment is that I am going to need more rice with this curry for lunch tomorrow. Thank you Rin! It was a pleasure to meet you. We'll be back soon.

Very cute place. Service was excellent. Food was very good. I had the chicken curry it was delicious. I had them make it extra spicy. It was perfect. The tables for 2 are a little small but whatever it worked.. Wish they had a cocktail menu. Good experience and definitely will be back.

Been there twice now and no disappointments. Yea sometimes it takes a little long for meals to come, but I’m ok with that! Going again to try something I haven’t tried yet! Cheers!

Not a bad place. I got the curry of the day with rice and it was pretty tasty. I'd go back if invited but wouldnt go out of my way to go.

Joshua and I found ourselves “going the wrong way” (says Josh) and we ended up at Rin Thai Bistro! Located on the corner of Elmwood and Potomac is a wonderfully low key Thai bistro; Rin’s to be exact. The atmosphere is personal, friendly, and the cuisine is out of this world. I began with some Sticky Rice & Coconut Shrimp to start; the rice was presented in a beautiful bamboo basket, to maintain heat without losing moisture, and to add a lil flair to the presentation of the food. The coconut shrimp was amazing, battered beautifully to retain the coconut’s consistency and incredibly unique flavor; pairing these two ingredients is ubiquitous, but what Rin does differently is maintain the integrity of the coconut to enhance this favorite’s flavor into a new realm of dreamy. The shrimp come with a sauce that I can only describe as Sweet & Sour with finely diced pineapple chunks subtly throughout. �� flavor explosion. Josh had an appetizer of fried dumplings � to match; cooked perfectly and served with soy sauce. � For entrees, we both had our own orders of Pud Thai; chicken for Josh, shrimp for me. Spicy. Best spontaneous lunch decision EVER. I’m trying the Pineapple Fried Rice next! �

RIN is the noodle master! Her food rocks! We used to go to her other restaurant the King and I. Her new place the best Thai Resturant in Buffalo. I recommend her food to everyone. She is also a great neighbor!

Such a great spot - nice and intimate with great quality food. Menu was not overwhelming and had something for all diets.I definitely recommend this place!

Delicious food. Great space. Very fresh - food is delivered pipping hot - right off the range/oven. Chef comes to tables to inquire on satisfaction. Also if you like hot/spicy - it is done perfectly.

Rin Thai Bistro is such a welcome addition to the Elmwood Village. We’ve already been there a number of times and have had something different each time. Everything has been delicious. I recommend you try it.

Amazing Thai food! It was my first experience eating Thai food and I can not wait to go back! The service is amazing and the food is so fresh and delicious! There were people nonstop in and out..people dining in and take-out orders. Not one bad thing to say!

I went to the soft opening for this new restaurant and was really happy with the service and also the food. I don't know much about Thai cuisine, but everything had tasted great. I'm planning on going back on a regular basis.

Small menu but what we had (pad Thai, pineapple fried rice, fresh summer rolls) was delicious.

We’ve ordered twice from here...once take-out and once dine-in. We’ve loved every single dish! Great service!!!
