One of, if not the best places to get great tasting barbacoa in the Southmost area in Brownsville, TX. The line is always long for a reason. There's traffic control and a sherrif on duty for security. Once inside I noticed the place was not very large and everyone in line was there for their barbacoa and tortillas. The wait was not long as some customers had ordered ahead and the store had their food ready. The customer service is top notch. I'm usually served by an older fellow, who I suspect is the owner, and he is always full of energy. I'm always greated with enthusiasm and a smile even though it was behind a mask - one can tell. Being Christian myself, I particularly like that he says farewell with a "Que Dios lo bendiga." I highly recommend this place for barbacoa and tortillas. Even if the wait is long it is well worth the wait.

Savoury bar b que and tortillas to die for. You gotta taste it the salsa is just perfect. J.J. is very friendly and his daughter is a delight. Very friendly. This tortilleria is also a convenient store you can buy milk and soda candy and flour oil and chips. I can go on and on. Go check it out. You will love it
