Friday night fish night got clam strips which were absolutely perfect, slaw was great, the hush puppies were yummy. The only downside was onion rings that were very greasy and wimpy no crisp.
We ate there tonight!!! Great to be able to sit down and have a meal. I had the all you can eat fish fry!!! Fish was great, waitress was super friendly. You can get the fish fried, grilled or blackened. & 2 sides plus hushpuppys & fries. I had Coleslaw & potato salad plus Clam chowder. Now for those of you that follow my posts, I do have a few rants that I do. Clam Chowder was great, had a little kick to it that was good, it was a little thin, I personally like it really thick, I tried all three styles of fish and all three were great. Now most of you know my take on Coleslaw!!! It was really good, but small portions, look at pics, it should come in size of potato salad, and that was really good too!! Only real issue was the restroom, too outdated and really needs to be cleaned up. All in all, great place and we will be back.
This little place in downtown Brooksville is awesome. The food is great and the help is outstanding. Our waitresses whose stage name is Whitney was one of the best I've ever seen in any restaurant. The Craziest thing is her real name is the same as her stage name. Makes it easier for people like me remember her name. She was extremely attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. She coached us on substitutions with enthusiasm not seen in mom and pop local huts. As my guest was just moving into her new home in Brooksville, Whitney welcomed her to they neighborhood with her attituded and verbal hugs. Maw's Vittles is already a local favorite, Whitney makes it that much more special.
We loved this place food was great prices were very good for the portions and quality. All the staff was friendly and quick. They have a fish fry from 430 to 8pm on Friday. They are open till 130 pm
Fantastic little breakfast joint , definitely good food.. good service, I will go back next time I'm in Brooksville , I left with a full belly was very happy on my drive back to wpb.
The food is great and way more than we could ever eat! This is my dad's favorite place to get his breakfast. Now I understand why. Our next trip to Florida will definitely include a trip here!
