There's no love in their cooking food have no flavor price went up because of construction going on across the street, so they forgot about the people in the community who will still be here to support them when the construction workers leave after the work is finish. When this place leaves Dumbo will have lost another great little pop eatery. Serving factory workers since the 1960s till now, and hopefully into the future. Breakfast, lunch and early dinner. Hot soup on a cold day from this place would warm the bones and heat the soul. Try it.
This place is CASH ONLY. There is an ATM inside their store. Unfortunately I didn’t realize they were cash only until everything was already in bags so I had to use the ATM. The best Cuban sandwich ever. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. Bring cash, and make sure to clear you schedule for a couple of hours after eating, you won't get much done after consuming this.
I ordered the grilled chicken with white rice. The chicken was hard and taste like wood. The white rice was extremely dry. This is the first time as well as the last time I will order food from this place.
One of my favorite breakfast and Lunch spots. Prices are very reasonable. My favorite is the seafood soup which is served on Wednesdays and Fridays.
