Checked it out for brunch and loved it. The Madame sandwich was incredibly flavorful with the corned beef, the creaminess of a fried egg, some perfect spiced sauce, and hits of arugula. My bf got the Ruben which was also good but mine was better! Coffee was fine.
Dined in here after my Pilates class with two friends (Party of 3). This place is super cute, the staff is super friendly and the food is VERY good. I fell in love with their fried pickles , my mouth waters just thinking about them. Will definitely come back!
Always a vibe! Have come here for New Year’s day brunch and a couple other times. The Turkey Pastrami Club and the Latkes are my go-tos. Also love their boozy sodas. Make a reservation ahead of time, you’ll be glad you did.
We loved the ambiance of the place and the service was excellent. Everything was delicious but definitely a pricier brunch spot. For reference, a single bagel was around $15 and while the bagels were definitely made well, we thought it was too pricy for what you were getting.
A buzzing establishment in Williamsburg, Gertie’s menu reflects a contemporary, design forward take on a traditional Jewish deli. We came in on a rainy day for a pickup bagel and coffee and were greeted with attentiveness from Emily (GM), Moira and Ricardo. The excellent energy, decor and overall
We had the best Saturday afternoon at Gertie! Great music and lovely staff. We shared pickle plate, latkes so incredibly good, and a few other delicious sandwiches. Would def recommend as a welcoming spot if you have kids too - good colored pencils and paper to keep ‘em busy :)
Fun vibes with great food! I got the grainy bowl with farro and added a friend egg which was delicious! My friends got the French toast, chicken schnitzel sandwich, and egg and cheese bagel and all were super happy with their food. Such a great time with friends, good food, great vibes, and good ser
We LOVE Gertie’s. We’ve made a habit of coming every weekend. It’s delicious, easy, well priced, and the staff is incredible!
I should have ordered the bialy. As someone who grew up in NYC and has eaten hundreds of bagels, I had high hopes for their everything bagel. It was good, but reading the reviews for the bialy, I think I the best is yet to come for me.
i ordered their “best bialy” (smoked salmon, dill, caper schmear, pickled onions on a bialy) and it was amazing. the bialy came out perfectly hot with a crispy outer shell and soft inside. the salmon had a very delectable smoked flavor and paired perfectly with the pickled onions and dill caper schm
We waited for 50 minutes for a table (although we were told it will be 30 minutes). Then we waited for the food for more than 35 minutes (food was waiting on the kitchen counter for some minutes). While the food amazing (we liked everything we ordered), I wish their service was just little bit fast
We came here early morning at 9:30, the place was empty but people immediately started to arrive, we were on time! We ordered the queen madame which was AMAZING, the egg bagel and the rolled pancake with ricotta to share. Perfect combination! We will come back again for sure!
Textbook NYC place with good brunch options. Ordered ‘The Egg and Cheese Bagel’. Also ordered a Mezcal + Ginger boozy soda.. The bagel was tasty and the Boozy Soda was very refreshing.. Service was very polite and kind… Would love to come back and try more things on the menu…
Wonderful place. The food is fantastic. We had the grainy bowl and the selection of pickles. All delicious! The staff are all Super welcoming and friendly, the place itself is bright with cool decor, and amazing music too! Definitely worth checking out!
Delicious brunch in Williamsburg! I had the bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a gluten free everything bagel which was delicious. I also tried the French toast which I also really enjoyed. The place fills up so definitely get a reservation ahead of time.
After making reservations, informing that we were running late, and showing up within the 15 minute grace period, we learnt that our table was given to someone when we arrived. Sure! The space itself is very bright and has a true Brooklyn vibe to it. They have both, front outdoor seating and a back
