Runner & Stone - Brooklyn - Photo album

Sometimes it’s nice to find a beautiful eating/cafe experience in an industrial- chic- artisan - and down to earth - location such as Gowanus in Brooklyn … and Runner and Stone is such an experience. The food and ambience is pure art and simply DELICIOUS. My friend and I meandered over on a sunny la
Wow the food and service are incredible. The bread is artisanal. Such a gem in Brooklyn. Highly highly recommend. Incredible wine list too! And they have a garden where they grow their own vegetables and flowers!
We came at 8am, when they were just taking the pastries out of the oven. We had a chocolate croissant, and a regular croissant. Both had the perfect texture (despite being a bit cold), with all the layers detaching easily, as it should be. Taste and depth of flavor could go from good to excellent if
This place is amazing. Not just for pastries and breads / lunch , but a secret spot for dinner with the best food. The fried chicken is better then Buttermilk Chanel , pastas , fish , appetizers are all just splendid. Natasha who works there is the best !!
I had their casserole with latte. Food are nice, waiter is friendly. They have more seats downsdownstrs. The canele has a hard cover and very moisture texture inside. Its $3 for each. Plain croissants are crispy. The wheat bread also has a hard skin. Overall I'll say their bread are more baked but I
I’m obsessed with this place. I often come to pick up something for lunch. Everything I have eaten from here has been delicious, and very reasonably priced. The lentil soup is blowing my mind. Can’t wait to try more sandwiches.
Out walking on a rainy Friday night while in town for a wedding and happened upon this lovely little restaurant for a bite to eat. Natasha recommended a fabulous wine after allowing me a taste (a vermentino - new to me) and then suggested the ricotta and tomato salad to start. Fantastic! Then I orde
Incredible good blueberry and barley (buckwheat? I can't remember) bread last week. Firm crust but inside was slightly chewy and blue berries were wonderful.
Came here for breakfast, service was great and quick. Pastries were delicious. Croissant was light, airy, fluffy and buttery. The chocolate croissant had the same texture but with a nice dark contrast of the chocolate inside without being too sweet. The apple turnover was delicious!!! The filling
Runner and Stone was our go-to brunch spot pre-pandemic, and then we moved away. We returned last night for dinner and cannot recommend this place enough! The staff are incredibly warm and helpful, and the food was outstanding. We had the hummus, vegan caesar, and crab-stuffed jalapeño apps. Then we
Finally made it to R & S for diner. I’ve known about their magnificent bread, Buckwheat & traditional Baguettes in my trip advisor Review (Best Baguette in NYC). But here I came on a Saturday night to discover the food served. Lots of choices but what caught my eye was the Homemade pasta selection.
I don't use the word, "GEM" lightly. You know those "rare finds", that leave you in awe?.... This, is IT. I was walking to the nearby Whole Foods & decided to, "check it out" as I passed by. EVERYTHING is made fresh, sauces, spaghetti & even the bread, that your sandwich comes on. FRESH Daily Homema
I absolutely love runner and stone. All their baked goods are delicious (recommend the baguettes, brioche, and chocolate croissants). Also have great sandwich options for lunch (recommend the mozzarella and the lentil quinoa burger).
Finally stopped by this bakery, their blueberry buckwheat sourdough was soooo good. The exact crust and mild sweetness I was looking for.
Excellent almond croissant. Everything looked delicious. When I’m back in the area, I’ll definitely stop again.
Had a fantastic impromptu dinner for 6 on a rainy Friday night. All the staff were super friendly. Loved every dish we had! Chicken liver pate was bomb. We loved all three pastas- special spicy shrimp spaghetti and Mac and cheese with smoked trout, and the orecchiette from regular menu. Broccoli chi
Absolute best sandwiches in this hidden gem! The duck Reuben was insanely good and the onion rings were perfectly cooked.
