Fort Defiance - Brooklyn - Photo album

This place is a đź’Ž in Red Hook. It's part of a Restaurant/Bar. The section I went into is The General Store. They have breakfast and lunch items that you can eat here or takeout. They also have Rotisserie Chicken and grocery items. The place is very cute with a vibe of being in another era. The
Great brunch, everything on the menu is clearly prepared with love for food. The staff was friendly, very attentive, and the outdoor seating is great when the weather is warm. I loved the huevos rancheros with hand cut pork chili.
Came for brunch h on a Saturday with a friend. Got the Irish coffee which apparently has somewhat of a reputation. It was very good. Also got the huevos rancheros which was yummy, and then a gin fizz! My favorite. Super nice staff and time.
Drove from NJ for Sunday Brunch and it was well worth it. Their Irish coffee lives up to its reputation, it was excellent!! Great service in a small cozy ambiance. Great food and drinks all around.
Cool bar with great eats in Red Hook. We sampled a good portion of the menu and everything was really good. Highlights included the anchovy toast, deviled eggs, Caesar salad, chicken liver toast and skirt steak. The skirt steak was so good that we ordered a second order immediately after finishing
A fantastic spot. Lovely decor and great art on the wall with a produce section at the back selling various niche items. Great coffee and good food. Recommend.
It's a silly thing but I loved that they served the huevos rancheros in a shallow bowl. It wasn't particularly sloppy but it was nice not to worry about egg yolks running over the edge of the plate. Their rendition was hearty and delicious. Nice outdoor seating even if it was a chilly day.
it’s really good. the burger has changed from their oklahoma double smash burger but it’s still yummy. fries are great, cocktails are great. tin fish of the day is a must!
UPDATE: We finally made it to Fort Defiance in their new location for brunch today and it was very good. I had the huevos rancheros which was excellent. I'm hoping they sell the pork chili that is in it on its own because it was delicious. BF had the American breakfast with a nice slab of potato ro
They say it's the best Irish Coffee anywhere - believe it! And the biscuits were divine. All was calm and mellow for brunch on Dec 23, our party of four waa seated right away. Loved the cozy vibe.
This restaurant used to have a burger that competed with their neighbor Red Hook Tavern - it was an “Oklahoma Smash” and it was great. They took a good thing and made it worse, the new burger is just ok & definitely doesn’t make us choose dinner here over elsewhere. We were regulars, now not so much
We love Fort Defiance! Wonderful dinner entrees, drinks, salads, ambiance… and I love the “general store” during the day too, to pick up items or to get a tasty lunch / breakfast!
We stopped in this cute market while exploring red hook. Love everything about it, I can't wait to visit again. Grabbed some fun items to make dinner with.
Went to IKEA in Brooklyn with two of the women my mother gave birth to via the free ferry. Walked around Red Hook and found a delicious, funky, friendly place to eat
Good food, limited veggie options. Loved their elote and fried chickpeas! Steak frites was also done well.
Great place. Able to score a premium table at 6:45 with no reservation. Got crowded very quickly. Very good food and friendly service. Thursdays are Tiki night. Bar was full and many people were drinking rum drinks in fun glassware. I am more of a beer person so was into the small but well-curated b
A fun brunch spot with a crisp menu, lovely decor, friendly vibes, and tasty dishes. Seems like it’s a spot for drinks too. Had a delicious huevos rancheros with pork chili, and a nice strong cup of coffee. Egg dishes solid all around. Nice naturally bright interior.
A wonderful place to go for a good cup of coffee with a friend or partner. I had the best cookie in my life today. Chocolate, with salt sprinkled on top. Young people and family spend time here and it offers appropriate outside dinning. Yum.
Amazing general store with lots of cool stuff. I can’t wait to visit once they are back up and running as a restaurant. There’s an authenticity to this place that makes you feel right at home. I had molasses loaf and cold brew that literally brought joy that I didn’t realize was missing from my day.
