Samurai Mama - Brooklyn - Photo album

Good ramen! Generous portions of noodles with a half an egg! Came with scallions and bamboo shoots. The whole shebang! Very rare to see in ramen shops in NYC. Didn't feel like I was getting nickled and dimed on handfuls of scallions. Tonkotsu Ramen was excellent. Broth was robust and flavorful. Cam
Stumbled in here on a rainy Sunday evening for dinner. Went inside to check out the menu but aroma of the food is what made the decision to stay. Ordered the Brussels sprouts and shishito peppers as a starter, I wish there was more shishitos in it but overall well seasoned. It came with this pink s
Delicious. Intense, yet savory flavors. A light richness. The Bara Chirashi was delicate yet buttery. The Niku Kake hot udon was warming. The Garlic pork ribs, was caramelized sweetness. The drinks were good, I recommend the Yuzu Highball. Very refreshing. Would recommend.
The sushi tacos are AMAZING. The quality of the food is phenomenal, and the communal table is the perfect setting. Cannot rate this place high enough. Excited to come back many times!
Ordered the signature ramen and the gyoza as well. Gyoza (8 of them) were pretty good, large dumplings served in an iron skillet and arrived fairly quickly. Sauce was a little thick unlike traditional gyoza but flavor was good. Ramen took a long time (over 30 minutes) to arrive due to a kitchen mi
Perfect spot for a cozy date or a rainy day. They have separate tables for 3+ groups, but usually you seat in a big common table. Great service, very attentive and fast. I find the food top-notch. One of my favorite neighborhood spots. My recos: pork gyoza, any hot udon or ramen. You can’t get it
Great ramen! We sat at a communal table right when they opened at noon. I ordered the traiditoanl ramen and some pork Gyoza. Very nice presentation and delicious taste!
The Avo Salmon and AB Crunchy rolls are so good! The samurai mama ramen is a bit too fatty for my taste, no option to add chicken as a topping, only pork, but still tasty. The staff is fantastic, totally recommend!
Don’t understand how this place isn’t always packed. Kind staff, fresh fish, and all kinds of excellent udon. Reasonable prices too! This is an absolute gem in Williamsburg!!
Atmosphere was great; aged dash tofu and mama mojito were extremely delicious; but sushi tacos were VERY mid. I got uni, salmon avocado, and toro. Uni was pretty fresh but slightly bitter; salmon was very ordinary and boarderline mushy/not fresh; toro was very disappointing - it was the driest toro
Love this place. Great food, really cool interior. It’s a bit small and can move slow but the food is worth it. Great sushi, really enjoyed the “taco set” which is just a variety of hand rolls but the all the flavors were on point. Even the vegetable rolls had great flavor and texture, some of the b
I cannot recommend this place enough. The ingredients are of the highest quality. It is a fairly small menu, but everything they do is incredible. The sushi tacos are wonderful. Every bite is fresh, and extremely flavorful. The garlic fried chicken is also amazing. Everything is light, and clean, wh
I found this restaurant by chance and I was glad to try it. Atmosphere, food and service were excellent.
Samurai Mama is a place that we "happened upon," drawn in by the unique store front and subsequently delighted by its dim lighting and rustic Japanese decor. This place gets an A+ for ambiance. We love sushi and this is good sushi. We also ordered dumplings as an appetizer as well as a mama salad t
Udon was so flavorful and delicious. Atmosphere is very cool and authentic. Fast service.
Unique and magical experience here! The layout of the restaurant is so different. Walk in and there's the communal table room. Walk through the long narrow kitchen and you arrive at the individual tables room. Or make a short right and there's a bar/ counter area. Or a little further on the right is
Amazing food, the atmosphere is cool if you like the tavern style (shared table etc) I had a good experience but a place like this can be difficult for a party of one. I would go back but probably not alone again. The house made dumplings were incredible I would say, a must try.
