Colonie - Brooklyn - Photo album

My husband and I dined here during our visit to NYC. We came from the Cincinnati area and it was our first visit to the city. When planning the trip, Colonie caught my eye so we decided to give it a try. I’m so glad we did, because it quickly turned into the absolute highlight of our trip and was an
Brought my parents here for my father birthday, a few friends of mine highly recommended it and they did not disappoint. The staff was really friendly and helpful. They even signed a card when bringing out my dad's pastry singing happy birthday which I thought was a very sweet gesture. Would def com
Lovely brunch spot with delicious food! We had to wait a bit for our food to come out (45-50min), but the waitstaff was super nice and attentive. Really great Turkish eggs — delicious spot!
Everything was delicious but the surprising best dish of the night was the mushroom crostini. You MUST get this. We also got the lump crab tagliatelle and the duck dish. I loved the spicy kick in the pasta and it had a generous serving of crab. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!
came here for my birthday dinner—we walked in around 7 on a thursday night and were seated at the chefs counter (highly highly recommend if you’re into food/cooking). my boyfriend has *a lot* of food allergies and they were super knowledgeable and aware. we got the whipped ricotta with strawberries
Suuuuuch great food. Get all of the starters because they’re incredible, but also have some pasta because it’s also amazing. But the date cake for dessert is the real star here.
Very nice and upscale place with excellent service, tasty creative menue and reasonable prices. I really liked their wild mushrooms, crostini, ricotta with peas, and beet salad. Be advised that their crab pasta is quite zesty, and if you don't like spicy food, you better get some other options. V
Food was amazing, servers were extremely knowledgeable! It’s a fairly small establishment and tables are close to one another but that’s the beauty of NY.
Nice, chic, restaurant on Atlantic Avenue. There is a bar up front and most of the food tables in the back. The kitchen is open in the dining room around the tables. It’s nicely decorated and the smells are oh so good. But you have to be ok with that. The menu is excellent- but very limited. They
Amazing spot in downtown BK. Food was delicious and service was great. Sat by the chef counter and just being able to see them prepare everything was phenomenal. Chef was very helpful with his recommendations. Will definitely be coming back to this joint.
Came here for my birthday dinner with my Fiancée. Essence made us feel more than welcome and took our dining experience from great to more than we could’ve hoped for. Actually the entire staff was kind, generous, and engaging. Every one we interacted with that night was warm and welcoming. The vibe
Delicious food and very friendly, attentive staff. The duck was absolutely perfect, and do not skip the sticky date cake for dessert.
A friend of mine recommended me this place and I decided to have a try very random. I went on Sunday 12:30pm and waited about 15 minutes to get the bar seats for 2 people. The coffee is good! And it was very enjoyable to seat on the bar table and watch the bartender making cocktails. We waited very
Wow, I have never been blown away by a brunch dish like the Turkish eggs here! I wouldn't have thought to pair eggs with yogurt, but it works *so* well. The service was friendly and personable and the wait times were reasonable (especially given how busy they were). I will absolutely return!
Better than 99.9% of restaurants I’ve been to in Manhattan and where I bring all of my out of town guests. Mushroom pate and the crab pasta are a must but save room for the sticky date cake. Sit at the chef’s counter if you can for a fun experience. Colonie never disappoints!!
The brunch here is out of this world. The Turkish eggs are unlike anything I've had and I can't wait to visit again. I really enjoyed my blood orange margarita too and the cool hand cuke drink. Both were fantastic. Even the servers were all so lovely and friendly. Highly recommend this spot and will
Loved sitting at the chefs counter. Food was delicious. Service was amazing. Get the sticky date cake.
Super fun, local eatery. We sat outside with the dog, had fun people watching. The cocktails and food were delicious, especially the celery salad. Who knew? Waitstaff was great, all around an awesome experience.
