Sottocasa Pizzeria - Brooklyn - Photo album

I live in Whitestone Queens now but when I lived down the street from Sottocasa it was my go to pizza. I love this style pizza can't go wrong with any of the choices. Too good. Backyard ambience is great and the owner (I think) is super nice.
Got the popeye and capricciosa, and thought we would take the leftover to go, but we ended up finishing it all as it’s simply that good! The host is also very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely come back to try out more pizzas!
I love it here for the atmosphere first and the food second. Don’t get me wrong, this is the best pizza I’ve had in New York City in the past year; but the atmosphere is just so grounding and intimate that it feels almost therapeutic to eat here. Plus the owner is so passionate about what he does. I
Without a doubt this is the best Italian pizza in New York City. For reference, I'm an Italian living in nyc. The ingredients used are fresh and full of flavor. You can tell that the dough has been through a long leavening process: the crust of the pizza has risen well, it’s soft and structured. The
Had a wonderful Gluten Free Pizza. With white Sangria. Perfect. Sat in the patio area which makes you feel like you were transported to a small town in Moderna Italy. Which is where the owner David is from. So glad I discovered it.
What a great find!! The pizza was so good! So good that we completely forgot to take any photos! The staff were all amazing, and gave us great recommendations. I am salivating just thinking of how perfectly the crust was done in that wood-fired oven… with delicious combinations of flavors! Everyone
Absolutely the best pizza I had in the US so far. I’ve been looking for an authentic italian pizza like this for so long. The wine and desserts were great too. The whole experience was amazing, and the staff is super friendly. Definitely recommend and I will be back as soon as possible!
The best REAL Italian pizza I have eaten in the US. Bar none. It's perfect.
This was the most charming place. The owner was so accommodating and made us feel so welcomed. We had 3 pizzas and ordered another! I cannot believe how unbelievable this pizza is. You have to try it. Not like NY pizza but pizza from Rome!!! You won't be sorry.
We entered when twenty other diners were at the restaurant, and the sole chef still managed to finish our pizzas in eight minutes. Putting that small miracle aside, the food was delicious and the provided hot oil was an unexpected treat. The chewy crust was superior to any bread stick I've had, the
One of the better pizzas in Brooklyn. We were welcomed by the man, who I assume was the owner in the most polite manner. Warm greetings and the smell of the wood fire pizza oven were in the air. We sat out back on the patio in the garden. Beautiful seating arrangement. The pizza was delicious. We o
Just a few steps away from the more tourist attractions. We went there before a Brooklyn Nets game. We had a very good pizza (even though two of them a little overcooked) and the staff was very kind and professional. Really good choice when in Brooklyn.
This is small and quaint pizza place. We sat outside in the back. The pizza was fresh and delicious.
A wonderfully fresh and authentic Italian pizza restaurant! Very friendly staff and prompt service. Nice Italian wine selection. Definitely get your own pizza or multiple pizzas if sharing...you will want to finish every last slice! Dessert was delicious - try the tartufo.
Great pizza place in Brooklyn downtown! We love Neapolitan pizza style and sottocasa offers amazing ones. I had the popeye one and my husband the cappricciosa pizza. Also the desserts were so good. Highly recommend the tiramisu-I love that it’s more of the dense than on the fluffy side. Delicious!!
Excellent pizza, what more is there to say. Sister is gluten free and they also make the best GF pizza any of us have had. Wouldn’t even have known.
Great authentic Italian pizza and good sized starters.
Great pizza joint and always make a visit when in Brooklyn. Can't go wrong with any of the pizzas and calzone. Arugula salad is a winner and some nice red wines and good house red too. Kids love the Nutella pizza. Busy, vibrant, family atmosphere and good service.
