I went to the Bazaar in Brookline this past week and had a wonderful experience with Dianna who helped me pick out some very delicious items including an outstanding Norwegian salmon which had a subtle smoky and mild flavor. I also purchased mushroom crepes in the prepared food section and eggplant in a spicy red sauce. I enjoyed both very much. Dianna was so good at explaining what things were and so very nice that she made the shopping experience a really enjoyable time. I will be back to further explore and buy the delicious smoked salmon that I am now hooked on.

This Bazaar location at 1432 Beacon St sales expired products and products with a fake manufactured date. A month ago I had a food poisoning from deli mean I bought here- was sliced and packed at the store, I was not able to check the expiration date- in 3 hours from consuming it I had a massive food poisoning and I haven't eaten anything but that. Previously I had to return items such as caviar, herbal tea (with snails), herring, etc.
Another day I stopped by and noticed sweet cheese bars on the shelf- all of them were a month passed the maximum allowed storage period. I have passed this information to the store manager and she stated it would be taken care- in 2 days a came to that store again and most of those bars were sold, leaving just a few on the shelf.
Today I went there on purpose to check if all of there products were passed the expiration date- and yes, there were a lot...and in addition to that I managed to by an ice-cream made on February 26th 2020...its May 17th of 2019 today. Very concerning. Previously I have seen them storing ice-cream for more than 2 years from the "made on" date- with the maximum storage period of 12 months.
Selling expired goods is illegal and can have many bad outcomes to public health. I will not return to this store again and would advise same to everybody.

The best Russian deli. If you like gluten-free cookies, then this is the bomb for you, they have some delicious chocolate ones!

I already had abdominal pains from their food couple of times, but this time I accidentally had coupe of bites of the moldy food I just bought, as you can see from the picture. I have had a very bad food poisoning. When I went to the store to complain, I experienced that they kept selling the food from the same batch as if nothing happened.

Wonderful little Russian deli that seems to pack most of the essentials!
It is the closest food market to my place and I’m a frequent visitor! The produce is super fresh
I’m not Russian but it has been wonderful exploring the Russian cuisine through this deli
Friendly staff, organized, never too crowded even though it is relatively small

I really like this place! Great for Russian cold and hot food, groceries, and wonderful baked goods.

Great place. A little piece of Russia here in your backyard. Great stuff!

This is a little Russian grocery store. It has a very wide selection of items that is very impressive given the size of the store. There is wine and liquor, cheeses, pickles, a deli, prepared foods, desserts, baked goods including bread and pastries, preserved fish, caviar, fresh produce, a nice dairy section, tea, Russian snacks, cards, newspapers and magazines, candies, spices, etc. It's a good place to get uncommon grains (buckwheat and whole oats), and to try new desserts (Russian honey cake, yum!) that you order by weight and snacks (I love the Russian marshmallows called zephyr). I can get some nice seasonal fruits and they always have good cabbage. I am impressed by the dairy selection - lots of options for kefir, sour cream, butter, and all the eastern European cheeses you would want. They even have Russian ice cream. My husband likes the tea and jam selection. If you are ok with surprises then you can get by here without speaking Russian. There are a lot of packaged foods that don't really have english on them (just the ingredients are in english). It's a pretty crowded store. They do 15% off on the 15th of the month.
