Review Paula’s Soul Cafe - Bronx

Just ordered some turkey wings with greens, rice and peas. Food was amazing.Staff was very knowledgeable of ingredients due to my many allergies. Wonderful addition to our community. Definitely ordering from there again.

I have been to this spot twice. Excellent soul food, some of the best I have ever eaten from an outside establishment. It's basically a take put spot, with limited seats, maybe 3-4. The Whiting Fish, Beef Ribs, Turkey Wings, Teryaki Salmon are all excellent choices. The Yams, Mac & Cheese are delicious. Service could be better though. Cashier seemed like she had an attitude problem, as if she didn't want to be there. The only real downfall, they didn't have everything available on the menu. I would highly suggest updating the menu if you are not going to have everything on it. For example, besides a few other items as well, it is false advertisement to have only 4 desserts but have 12 on the menu.

For a 15 minute wait, I got all of this! Parking is difficult in the area. You may want to call your order in ahead or bring a party sit in the car. The wings in the shrimp wing combo were small, but the shrimps are big. The food is seasoned lightly for all taste levels.

When my husband and I walked in we were greeted very warm an friendly. The food was hot tender and delicious. We ordered beef ribs, cabbage,string beans and Macaroni and Cheese. For dessert we ordered carrots cake and banana pudding. Everything tasted like down home southern cooking. We are from North Carolina. Keep up the good work and good vibes Sade's!

I had to take the time to review them. This is by far THE BEST soul food that I have tasted from a restaurant in the Bronx. I’m originally not from NYC so tasting food that gets southern dishes right not only warms my heart but makes me feel a sense of home! Thank you for my amazing meal of: buffalo wings , candied yams and Mac and cheese (2x). The only reason that I did not give them a 5 star rating is because I ordered through UberEats so I’m saving that last star for when I can have the experience of the restaurant in person. They will def get my business

I ordered via delivery, and the food was great. The portions of the barbecue chicken are plenty! Collard greens were really well seasoned, mac and cheese was not short of cheese, and of course cornbread was classic. I've been craving it! Thanks Sades!

This small shop is churning out some great classic eats. The catfish, turkey wings, Greens and macaroni with cheese hit the nail right on the head. The spirit in their open kitchen is the epitome of soul. That translate well in to the food with modest portions. The average plate will run you about $14.00 but it will become very clear that it is worth it after your first few bites. Don't expect to eat in as the eating/order area is about 6" by 5" so get it to go. Well I just finished my meal and I think I will take a short power nap.

Their food is okay but never again will I order the Sauteed Salmon. They always burn it. To the point that it's too dry to even eat. The macaroni is the best thing there.

Food is highly good when it’s fresh and hot. The fried chicken and collards are damn near to die for. Definitely try their Mac and cheese

I purchase a Groupon for Paula's looking for some good soul food, I haven't eaten some real deal soul food in a long while. When I tell you that this place Rocks, this place Rocks! Unbelievable excellent food! Great portions and a delicious piece of cornbread that comes with it. Get ready to lick your fingers! The place is not big but really a hole in the wall best kept secret in the Bronx. Hats off to the chef! Will definitely come back and will recommend.

If you want good home cooking, come to Paula's! Great southern style cooking and great portion size! Excellent food! Their beef ribs melt in your mouth!

Came here at my client's suggestion to treat her to a birthday lunch. I had the turkey wings with greens and yams. The food was DELICIOUS! It was like you were eating a meal from a southern grandma. My client had the beef ribs, which were "fall off the bone" tender (I got myself an order to go! Lol). You get a good amount of food for your money. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I'll definitely return!

Bomb potato salad! So happy to have delicious soul food within a 3 mile radius. The customer service is top notch too. Definitely recommend.

Happy Birthday to me. I stopped into Paula's today on my birthday and I can't say enough. I received a treat the food is spectacular and the service is excellent. I wished I lived close by to stop in more often.. Ww need a Paula's in Queens hint hint. Keep up the good work you guys.

I can assure you that you will be satisfied I'm so stuffed right now I ordered a lil bit of everything so I could give a great and honest opinion the food is on the money and there was NO PORK on my fork let's all show some love to a black owned business w/ good food the sea food is great as well stop by and treat yourself you won't be mad :)

Paula fed myself and my girlfriend all weekend. From catering a housewarming to going the next day for some more delicious, perfectly seasoned chicken wings! And Katie’s banana pudding didn’t even make it home for me lol. Next time hopefully they have red velvet cake left.

Not what I expected. I've ordered food from Paula's several times and I'm always pleasantly surprised. The food always exceeds my expectations l. I purchase different dishes to see if they'll slip up but everything is done well. The desserts, omg. I'll be stopping by tomorrow for the ribs. Simply delicious food with the service to match.
