Update: Sadly, became inconsistent with food quality and portions became ridiculously small and even more outrageously expensive. I’ve taken my business elsewhere. In my search of a decent Chinese restaurant these days, I came across Yummy House. Due to all the poor reviews, I hesitated ordering from them however, every time, I pass by, I see people in and out ALL THE TIME. I’m glad I decided to give them a try. This is the second time and I am LOVING them so far. Vegetables tasted very fresh and were not over cooked. The picture is chicken and garlic sauce with white rice. The egg rolls were tasty and NOT greasy AT ALL. I hope they keep it up! They are pricey but this is the way of life now. It costs a lot for these businesses to stay open. I’m willing to pay if the food and service is worth it. I’m pretty satisfied. Woman on the phone was very courteous.

I ordered pork fried rice and BBQ spare ribs. My meal was good for the most part. The portion size was ok. A little more rice and one more rib would have been a good value for the price. The rice was not oily although it did not have enough pork in it. It also tasted somewhat aged. The ribs were meaty, juicy and cooked well done. The three pieces had a nice amount of fat on them. The BBQ sauce was also quite tasty. The meal came with a spring roll. It was good but it was evident that it was a frozen product. I prefer rolls freshly made. The biggest issue was the cost. I ordered the meal through Postmates. This was a pickup order. The dish through Postmates cost $14.50. The cost if you order directly through the store is $9.30. I ordered through Postmates thinking I would get a bonus through Coupon Cabin. I later found out the discount was for new Postmates customers. Please avoid these apps, if possible. I regret using an app for this order that I picked up myself.

Even though I don’t live in this neighborhood anymore I still order from here and they are willing to deliver all the way to the West Bronx. The food is always fresh and less oily compared to other Chinese places I’ve tried. I love their crab rangoon and vegetable fried rice.
