Tradita Brick Oven Pizza

This is one of the few restaurants in NY serving traditional Albanian food and they get it right. The pizza reminds me of the pizza in Kosov, the Flija reminds me of my grandmas fli and the burek is also on point. The freshly based break goes perfect with the Albanian combonim and don’t forget to ask for some Ajvar on the side. The Mantia are also a great new addition to their menu. Do yourself a favor and make sure you stop by if your in the area. This is the sister restaurant of Qka Ka Qellu which just got a three star recognition on Grub Street and Tradita got featured in the New York Times. Feels like a hole in the wall but definitely a local gem.

I must say this is one of my favorite spots to eat brick oven pizza in The Bronx. Every time I have an appointment at Montefiore is a obligated stop. If you are adventurous enough try the Tradita Pizza. But if you want to fall in love with the place, including the hospitality of the owner, order their Pizza Margarita and I bet you will come back. Is Argelian style pizza with sesame seeds on the crust. You'll love it!
