place was awesome. music was great, compliments of DJ Lucho. The food was good, and although the place was packed; service was good too. Had a great time with my friends. Definitely going back again.

Really nice spot. Only thing TURN THE DAMN MUSIC DOWN!!!!!!!! That's too small of a place to have the music that loud. Like my goodness it was ridiculous. You can't hear anything. That's why our order kept being messed up. Other than that it was a vibe. Food was really good and the drinks were on point. I would definitely go back. But if that music is like that, I wouldn't dare

The food and service were on point. Great atmosphere. Salsa music was a plus. Loved the passion fruit mojito. Would definitely go again with the family.

Sooo muchhhhh fun !! The DJ plays amazing music all night definitely high energy and fun vibes that gets you dancing and there’s a lot of people so it gives lounge vibes. They also have hookah that was really good and the food was good Puerto Rican food which I’ve been having a hard time finding lately 🙌🏻 The waitress was super nice and even helped getting me dancing 💃

My friend and I got together and took a trip to this restaurant. When I arrived I found parking right away nearby. We walked in and was greeted. We decided to sit at the bar and Alexa was so awesome to us. She is the manager and the bartender and she treated us so well. They have bottomless mimosas that was so good and they give you mini carafes to drink from directly. For my meal I got the crab stew and my friend got the mofongo with meat. It took a bit for it to come out as I believe they make everything fresh. When it all came out the food looked awesome. I dug in and the stew was good, the only downfall was the little crab shells that was in the stew so I had to be careful. While we ate the dj was blazing and we enjoyed the music. We had such a good time and I would definitely return.

I had a great time with my colleagues at Barrio Bronx. It was our first time eating there because of the great food & atmosphere shared with us by friends & colleagues. The staff were great & so was the food, with the exception of the chicken & beef alcapurrias, they were overcooked. Alcapurrias should be crispy and chewy not toasted and hard, everybody knows that who has grown-up eating alcapurrias & making them themselves. I’m not sure if this is BarrioBronxs’ reinterpretation of it, but we need to stop re-interpreting certain dishes and how they’re cooked & seasoned, it has to stop, unless the reinterpretation is exceptional. Cooking it to the point of being hard and under salted & bland is not cool, I was really hoping they were going to be great, I was greatly disappointed and so was my colleague. My colleague sent hers back hoping that after explaining to the waiter that they were overcooked, that this time around, they would be better. However, they were exactly like the first ones. At this point, I suspected that this is how they serve alcapurrias, overcooked to achieve an ultra-toasted-crispiness, which unfortunately for my taste buds and my colleagues, was no bueno! However, to the credit of the restaurant we were not charged for our order & our waiter was pleasant regarding our disappointment, and we shared with him that it is not our intention to make the chef feel bad in anyway. Nevertheless, everything else we ordered was amazing. I had the trigongo & it was beyond delicious 🤤 and don’t get it twisted, despite that hiccup with the alcapurrias we will be coming back ASAP! Because we loved everything else that we ordered. 👏👏👏

This was our first time here. We went to celebrate our anniversary. First let me start by saying that everything was great. The service, the music, the food even the girls we sat next too. The music was loud but enough that you can have a conversation. We started with the bacalaitos, a must have. The staff was very attentive. Definitely want to go back and try some different stuff.

Our first time visiting Barrio Bx. We had a phenomenal time! We were encompassed with culture, welcoming atmosphere, excellent authentic Puertorican food, and great music with a live Dj. My best friend & I came to support Instagram influencer @Beatrizcookinnvibez on her birthday bash. I first learned of this wonderful establishment from Sunny Hostin of The View. She highly recommended it after celebrating her birthday here AND Barrio Bx catered for The View! WEPAAAA! Let's get to the food. The alcapurias were scrumptious! Crispy on the outside & juicy on the inside. The accompanying dip very tasty too. I had the Vegan Jibarito the eggplant was crispy & well seasoned Mmmmm!!! topped w/muxed greens aguacate, vegan cheese topping & thin sliced tostones. The rum punch woo! Soo good! Packs a punch! I enjoyed it very much! The owner Tony Martinez was very hospitable and down to Earth. Staff very attentive and friendly. Dj Vice verse kept the atmosphere jumping. I can't wait to tell my friends & family all about it. Looking forward to poetry open Mic with Nuyorican Poets Cafe & Bomba on Wednesdays & Thursdays. We will DEFINITELY be returning. I'm looking forward to trying the desserts. Well done Barrio Bx! I'm not surprised. Puerto ricans Rock! Pa' que sepa!!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🇵🇷

This Bronx Puerto Rican flavored restaurant sure threatens Made in Puerto Rico’s patron base. The hostess and waitress were attentive and charming. The background music was a tad higher than expected but overall good selection. Would love to hear more salsa y bachata. The food was absolutely delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection. The rice was okay and the beans could have used more sabor bóricua. The presentation as seen in the pictures is beautiful but the rice, beans and meat pots don’t all fit in your oval wooden plates perhaps secure rectangle plates to present the plates beautifully. The decor was tasteful and the hospitality was on par with a 5 star dining experience. The dessert was delicious. The establishment was awarded five stars based on the hospitality, service, decor and food quality. Highly recommend this charming spot in the Bronx. Local parking is readily accessible.

Barrio Bx is a GEM, a true explosion of culture, music, and delicious food that leaves a party in your mouth AND your bones. This space has been several different venues before and NONE have done with Barrio Bx has done. The food is absolutely delicious and VERY generous in portions. That drinks are very strong, but still flavorful and not overpowered by the alcohol. The happy hour is every day of the week and the brunches are LIT with a DJ so you can dance it off afterwards. They have a different musical or cultural treat everyday, ranging from poetry slams to house or hip hop DJs with your food experience. They also help keep the bomba music culture alive, hosting monthly live shows with sensation Bomba Yo. The owners are constantly hosting events that give back to the community, such as special sales and events whose proceeds give back to charitable organizations. Barrio Bx is a WHOLE VIBE!!! Try: the mojitos, the Paloma, the sangria, the sampler plate, and the Mofongos. Come dance, come eat, just come!!!

Iight so boom. I saw this place on IG and it looked amazinggggg. So on this here Sunday when my girl and I were looking for a brunch I said hey, let's give it a go. And let me tell you, best decision I made in a while. When we arrived they had outdoor seating which was separated by tall plexiglass and accompanied with heating lamps. Win. We put our name down on the waitlist and were told it would be 25 minutes. No prob. In those 25 mins the owner approached us, introduced himself and we had a really nice convo (small talk) about the restaurant and ourselves. As a fan of hospitality & customer service, I really appreciated this gesture. For me, it's the little things. In a little less than 25 minutes, our table was ready and the festivities began. A DJ was in there spinning Spanish, hip hop & rnb tunes. Love to hear it. Inside, the tables were socially distanced as well. You can tell that they were very intentional about setup which I love. We sat at about 2:25, brunch is from 12-4, but what I loved is in addition to the brunch entrees (which looked scrumptious) you could also order from the dinner menu and still get bottomless! They offer bottomless sangria, mimosas and rum punch and an entree (from the brunch or dinner menu) is required to purchase bottomless. If you only wanted an appetizer from the dinner menu, you'd have to order a side as well in order to get the bottomless. And they give bread for the table which I literally could've eaten by itself as a meal. I know it's grilled, idk what else they baste it in aside from butter but babyyyyyy omg it was good. I ordered the skirt steak with rice & beans & my homegirl ordered the coquito French toast with chicharron de pollo. Let me tell you. That food was FIRE! Ughhh. Portion size was fantastic, flavor was on the money. No complaints. All smiles and good eats. We both had the rum punch and it was gooooodddd. By gooooodddd I mean both tasty & strong. My favorite kind. The refills were on point, music was on point, and the owner even came over to check on us & take a shot. Honestly I couldn't have asked for a better experience. There was a larger party of family members who were thoroughly enjoying themselves, other tables of friends, some dates & everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Good vibes all around. I'll most certainly be back. I definitely want to try the French toast and the trifongo & a handful of other items on the menu. Great job Barrio BX and welcome to the neighborhood!

Been here a few times before but this last time was such a good time. My family and I went for my mom's 69th Birthday. It was also the first time some of us went out to eat since before pandemic!!! The food was amazing!!!! AUTHENTIC COMIDA CRIOLLA!!!!!! The MayoKetchup is slamming!!! The only complaint about it is, they don't give you enoughhhh!! BJ was so helpful and Charismatic the whole time with us. Some drinks were too strong and others not enough but still very tasteful. The only thing I have to say is, if you are going to be a server at any restaurant, you should know the menu. Especially with paperless menus, I shouldn't have to reload the menu to show you want I want. Especially if its something as simple as 'Aguacate'. That's pretty much a staple item in a Puerto Rican Restaurant.

Food was Delicious!!! The service was A++!! Owner and servers Very Attentive. Went to dinner with my husband and our daughter and everything we had was absolutely delicious! Our daughter had the arroz con mariscos(seafood rice), my husband had arroz con gandules y juey guisado(rice with pigeon peas and stewed crab), and I had chicharron de pollo sin hueso with maduritos and arroz amarillo( boneless chicken chunks, sweet plantains, and yellow rice). The portions are big, so you’re definitely taking food home, the piragua coquito was Delish, and the prices are great as well! We will definitely be back, hopefully next time we get to sit inside. Due to covid seating is limited so we sat outside and it was a bit chilly but still All Good.
