Sammy's Fishbox Restaurant - Bronx - Photo album

Cycled 45 miles from Long Island and couldn’t find a bakery nearby. Saw the $15.95 advertised poster outside and got drawn in. Was looking for a quick bite before sunset, didn’t want to get caught cycling in the dark. Cashier machine was down for 10 minutes and customers were waiting. I explained
First time at Sammy’s and am pretty pleased. The hostess was very nice and caring, she asked if we had any birthdays in our party of 17. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. The servers came when we sat down and wanted to take our drinks right away not giving us a chance to get comfortable
Food was amazing, atmosphere was amazing, everything was great. Was visiting from Texas and had the best time with my loved ones from NJ, already looking forward to coming back!!! You are definitely in for a treat if you get to experience Sammy's Fish Box!!
My father and I had just got done boating into the city and had docked on City Island earlier in the day. A quick Google search found this place, Sammy's and we headed in. Cannot begin to describe how much this meal hit the spot. We came hungry but were no match for the portions here. Everything fro
The place is nice and spacious. The service was slow but our waiter was super nice. My friends loved the food, I found it a little bit too salty and garlicky. They give you a complementary salad and bread to start. Overall is was nice on a Wednesday.
Fresh bread and cornbread good to start the meal with. Ordered the seafood chiller, from raw to cooked very fresh. Here’s for the 5lbs lobster ($160) but pricey I think. Overall good food and very good services.
I just want to say the king crab and anow crab combo is the best. One of the best seafood restaurants in the city. Come hungry. Cornbread is where it's at. Pricey so more for special occasions than regular dining.
The food was great. The staff checked in often and was very accommodating. Even the music threw me back to a time when listening was easy and it made sense. If you have a craving for seafood you should have no problem finding something on their diverse menu to satisfy your palate.
The staff is really what has me coming back to this location few time, and has a great set of people, they are wonderful and so sweet and always working hard!!! It wasn’t super busy at this location on Thursday and the employees are just so darn nice and great! Thank you!!!! it was my sister’s birt
So I went to city Island for the first time after living in NYC for 10+ yrs which is very sad because it’s an absolute must visit for any NYC native. Like the name states, City Island is a little island 🏝️ located at the end of Bronx. It’s consisting of a chain of seafood restaurants including Sammy
The service was very good here. The food was also good, very good portions and everything came out hot! I recommend the New England Clam Chowder if you are in the mood for soup. If you are not a big eater do not order an appetizer! The house provides fresh baked bread, cornbread and a fresh salad at
I've been coming to this restaurant for years because I love City Island. I gave them a 4 because they need to update their menu. Yhey doubled their prices so they need to update their menu. The round bread on the table is entirely too messy. That pickled cauliflower is a waste of money. It's got to
The food taste amazing, the atmosphere is perfect and the service is great! This entire meal cost $27.99 plus tax. Who could ask for anything more than this!!!! AMAZING!!!!!!
Went there for a double birthday celebration. It wasn't too crowded. Was outside at first but the bees buzzing around was a little too much. We were tabled inside and there was so much food. All very tasty and huge portions with food for days to take home. We had peri peri wings and shrimp to start.
Simply the best seafood restaurant I have gone to in a long time. We had a 7pm reservation, and it was on right on time. The service was excellent. We had food in our table within minutes of setting down. We ordered different plates, but by far, the best plate was the Paella. This dish for two can f
