Great low key experience, tasty pasta at a good price. Can’t ask much more than that! Just be aware it’s communal seating and cash only.
July 2023: Enjoyed a delicious dinner. My friend has been going here for years and shared one of his favorite restaurants with us. We started with a cold anti pasta plate. Really a tasty dish with meat, cheese, olives 🫒, lettuce. Paired very nicely with bread 🍞. By the way, the bread 🍞 was tasty 😋.
Wonderful family style Italian restaurant. I had the Veal Francese which was exquisite. We also ordered good old fashioned linguine with meatballs, house salad, and stuffed clams. All simply divine. Service was friendly and attentive. Only disappointment was that they ran out of chicken parm an
Iconic location on Arthur avenue. Love this place. Amazing food; best Italian in the Bronx. The staff is friendly and attentive. Great eclectic atmosphere.
Can’t say enough about this charming old school Italian bistro perfect for family dining. I picked this place because the review I read said “it’s more like a neighborhood food hall. Long tables & the waiters verbally provide the menu.” This is my style. I wasn’t disappointed. Easy to get a table fo
This place is an institution of higher dinning. No menus, just talk to the man, tell what you like, and ba- da-bing, there it is. My favorite is the veal roast with hot peppers. Just so you know, the men's room, that 2 stories up.
If I was on death row I’d come here for my last meal. The eggplant rollatini was so good. We also had cavatelli with meat sauce. I would eat it everyday if I could. The service was incredible and I loved the family style seating, everybody was so fun and friendly. Eating here feels like stepping int
Top Notch baked clams and linguini Alla Gianni. Old school Italian atmosphere with great food.
This is a classic Italian eatery in the real sense of the words. The portions are generous and the prices reasonable and the good is very good. I first came here as a teenager decades ago and it had changed as it should, but it still had a family charm.
I love this place. The menu is consistent and the atmosphere is casual. Cash only. Try the house red, eggplant parm, linguini with clams. The salad is good but eat bread instead 😄
