Highly disappointed.
I requested a round beach themed cake with waves, surf boards & a pineapple on top. When I opened the cake I found a white surfer front & center! It is unacceptable that in 2022 Merritt’s Bakery thinks it’s okay to just assume that white is right. Merritt’s wanted me to leave my son’s party & bring the cake back to “fix it”. Umm NO, maybe don’t assume that white is the standard & ask your customers before deviating from their original request. $100 waste.

First of all, Merritt's cakes, cupcakes, cookies & other desserts are amazing! I've never gotten anything at any location that I didn't love. I get my kids a tuxedo cake for their birthdays every year. They'd be very disappointed if I didn't. This last time I picked up my son's birthday cake at the 71st & Garnett location, I had some complications with my schedule. Kelsey went above & beyond to help me out and make sure I had a fresh cake to give my son. As usual, it was delicious! I really appreciate the quality of Merritt's cakes and especially appreciate Kelsey's as well as the other employees' great customer service!

Reasonably priced. Great pasties! So many types to choose from. My favorites so far are the eclairs & cannolis. Last week we went to their midtown location. Today we went to their Broken Arrow. Both have very friendly employees who are more than happy to assist with your selections. Highly recommend!

They never use butter. While the product looks beautiful, and sometimes artistic, it never tastes wonderful. They must use margarine, and shortening in the place of butter, and that just doesn't cut it for me. Usually bake for myself. Though, you can go to crumble, see all the butter cubes. You know your getting the real deal.

I always love Merritt’s. The fruit tart and ranger cookies are my favorites. Only request is to extend the hours the deli is open. I tried to order the chicken salad sandwich today but was told the deli was already closed for the day.

Been here over a hour to finalize our wedding cakes for two weddings been hollered and screamed at by young man behind the counter about something being too loud and it wasn’t me sitting here everybody screaming into place lack of personality and communication I’ve told him twice I’ve been sitting here waiting to do our wedding cake and I’m still sitting here hour and 30 minutes later. Bad way to let your employees run your business
