Review Zacatacos 6 Inc - Bridgeview

I can honestly say it's one of the better Mexican food restaurants in the surrounding area. Every time I've been there the food is to my liking. The only thing I noticed the last visit was that the servers had no clue what they were doing as far as prompt attention to service. The girl taking our order seemed to be zoning out and not focusing for whatever reason. I had to get up 4 times during my visit because of what I asked for was not being brought to my table in a timely manner or brought at all. I'm not holding the below average service against the restaurant. Past 2 years restaurants have struggled to staff their establishments with anyone that comes through those doors. That's why I still gave them a 5 star rating. Will be going back for the good food. Just hoping I will receive a little better service next time. Definitely recommend the place.

Stopped into this place last Thursday. Was surprised to find a dine in option where there is really no waiter/waitress only a person who takes your order. You sit wherever you want and they bring you what your ordered. All of the staff wore masks and were very nice, and attentive. I would go back just for the customer service.

I have previously love steak tacos each visit. This visit they served me steak nachos no cheese. I had to drive all the way back from Oak Lawn. I told them that's not a mistake you would make you know what you are giving people. Consistency is king. 3 stars is because it was good eats til this.

I would technically give it 3 and a half stars. The food does compare very closely to the location on Pulaski. The strong issue here is the service. It was the slowest I ever saw for Zacatacos. Pulaski is pretty instant, while you may not even get an acknowledgement close to 20 minutes or longer when you sit. I saw customers leave due to this. Their workforce may be divided since this location does drive through service and their expenditures may be aimed in that direction. If you can wait, the food was great though. I believe this would be 4 stars if the server would have spoken to inform people of the slow downs quickly like other places I been. But nothing was ever said leaving possible negative perceptions for the imagination until you are eventually are served.

3 tacos a bottle drink and small chips with guac was over 20 bucks. The flavor was okay, could not justify the price on the tacos. If the tacos were bigger and the ingredients were fresh it would have been a 5 star without a doubt. The young lady at the window was extremely nice .

Terrible service! Waited over 20 minutes inside this establishment to receive my order "to go." I watched multiple people walk in, take an order & get called to the desk to receive their food. Sat patiently in my chair until an associate finally asked me if I ordered. I replied yes, over 20 minutes ago & he copped an attitude with me. He asked to see my receipt, I gave it to him & only then did they begin to prepare my order. I asked him what's taking so long & he continued his attitude. I asked for corporate number & he asked me "what's that?" Do not go to this restaurant, they are terrible. I will be calling their corporation for answer's.

Prior to Covid I'd rate it 5 stars, during the worst of covid this place was terrible. Now it appears that they actually have a manager that is on duty and there is waitresses again. The food is still great unfortunately the prices have gone up and the portions have gone down hopefully things level out. The menu is still super limited, I used to love their fajitas but they are no longer offered. Tacos are now nearly $4 each and weren't loaded with ingredients. Not sure if I will regain my regular status here.

I was here about 2 hrs ago and was treated very bad I'm handicapped guy so I asked the lady were can I sit she just waved her hands and said anywhere so I hobbled over and sat sat down waiting for her to come over in stead she was just standing there so I asked her for some chips and salsa and some water then I told her I was ready to order too then she just looked at me and said nothing I was like wow then a guy came in sat down before he could get comfortable she had chips and sales and asked him what he want while looking somewhat at me I'm really pissed now so I guess if your a old white handicapped man you get treated like crap here  so I pointed my cane to the door and I left I will never come back to this racial motivated restaurant again so now I see what all my friends are talking about they can keep this shit hole

What a rip off. The food was small and expensive you need to pay 20$ for. One person just to get full! The tacos are so small I weigh 100 lb and I need 4 tacos just to get full. They don't put beans on the gorditas the food was a total rip off!

Rude. I have to say I feel they have issues with African Americans at this location. I stopped into the Berwyn location this afternoon to get the family some burritos. I had doubts because I have had unpleasant encounters at this location before, but against my better judgment and my son who asked me to give them another try I decided to give them another chance. BIG MISTAKE! I went into the restaurant and held the door for the lady that came in behind me. When I got to the register there was a person who was paying for their order. Once they left I stepped up to the cashier who looked at me and turned and started talking in Spanish and took the order of the lady that clearly came in behind me. I turned and left and decided to patronize another restaurant in the area. I refuse to keep giving them business when they clearing don’t want it. This is not the first time I felt mistreated at this location, but it will be the last.

When it first opened it was good but now half the time the meat tastes like its been sitting all day and been there twice when they've ran out of beans. How does a mexican restaurant run out of beans?

Never Again. $7.10 for a steak burrito the size of a chinese egg roll! Never again, I gave them too many chances

It started off well.... then went down hill. Started going to this zaca tacos probably a year a half ago, after arturos closed the doors I was in search of another good quality Mexican restaurant. I was impressed by the quality of the food, meat was well seasoned and had that juicy grilled taste, chips were also pretty decent and the pico de gallo was always fresh. So fast forward to about four months ago, we noticed a down hill sprial of just about everything they offer. The food, the service, the facility, it all started off with a price increase on the steak, not a big deal, I have no problem paying a little more as long as the food still is decent, but its not. The steak is rarely every fresh or hot anymore, most of the times when I get a burrito, they make it with an abnormal amounts of lettuce, its like I'm eating a salad wrap. The pico de gallo is usually never fresh anymore , looks like its been made two or three days ago. They can never ever get my order right, and when they do, they try to cram everything in one small bag, making it impossible to not rip the bag. I just went in to dine inside the other day and all the high chairs were broke ( the straps ) , they don't serve anymore fountain pop, its in cans or bottles only, and all the prices on there menu board inside are blacked out yet the old prices are still on the paper menus ( just about everything went up in price ) . And as I said before, I have no issue paying a little more here and there, but the food is no longer good, and the service is awful. Oh, I also went in to get a shake for my daughter and they said they were all out, I looked at them and said ok, and the lady laughed and said we can't find the shake powder to make the mix..... I just stared at the lady pretty much in amazement that she would actually mention this, and then laugh about it. I can't see this location lasting that much longer

Never again! I have been a long time zacatacos fan untill today. I just had the worst disapointment with their steak tacos. First of all who the hell puts lechuga, tomato, and cheese on real mexican tacos?!?! Meat was dry and hard... maybe old? Tortilla was hard...maybe old as well? Come on zacatacos! Why did you change your tacos?!? A real steak taco should have nice juicy steak, onion, celantro, salsa verde and limon! ... that's how zacatacos made their award winning tacos... now its pure disapointment and has lost my business

I went there to eat this morning the service was really good friendly waitress but the tacos were greesy and the limonade tasted old everything else was great

Tacos de picadillo cheap greasy meat!. All I have to say is the food is extremely greasy to the point that my hands were drenched in it after eating 1 out of 2 tacos I ordered. I asked the server to replace the one I didn't eat with a steak taco ....what does she bring me, a Al pastor which I never ordered or eat. I than over heard her basically calling me a liar so I got loud to correct her. She was telling her Clique that I asked for Al pastor, Again, Which I never did. My lunch was ruined. Oh while this was happening my wife was waiting for a side of tortillas for over 10 min by which time she almost had finished he plate, Keep in mind that there was a whopping 3 tables in the place that were occupied. I can't believe since coming up from the old hood they wouldn't have learned how important customer service and quality standards in product is. Only because the owners of the is place were able to con a bank or acquire monies to build and decorate a new restaurant doesn't grant them prestige. Folks..... there are many Mexican restaurants in the area that deserve our patronage because unlike these folks, they have learned the meaning of quality in food and service. When they were in the little shack on Pulaski they rocked. Sorry to see those days are gone.

Was a good place at one time. When they first opened my family and I went there, the food was excellent as was the service. Now the food is greasy and the service is slow. Tonight was the last time I will ever go there.

Disappointed. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE….BAD FOOD!!! They've only been open for 2 weeks and they don't even try to retain customers. The service on this place was very disappointing. During a thunderstorm we ordered take-out. We asked the manager to ensure we had everything since it was a large order. They double checked and said everything was in the bag, only to find out when we got home that they forgot some items. Because they don't have delivery service, I had to go back out in the rain to get the rest of our food. It would not have been so bad if the manager wasn't extremely rude. She felt no remorse and didn't take any ownership of their mishap. If she was nice about it, maybe it would not have been so bad but they did NOTHING for us. Didn't offer a credit or even offer a refund. She was so RUDE! Since we ordered take-out for 10 people, they definitely lost 10 customers. The food was not that good either!
