Rainbow Chinese Restaurant

I should have left when they said they don’t serve hot tea. I ordered hot and sour soup and sweet and sour Sam Bo (shrimp, pork and chicken). They brought me a plate of rice, separately a bowl of tasteless sweet sauce and separately a plate of heavily battered and deep fried chicken, shrimp (2) and pork. The batter was cooked hard and impermeable with the cheap plastic fork and spoon I was given. When I was able to crack open the shrimp it smelled fishy and was rubbery. The pork and chicken was tasteless. After a couple of bites I gave up and left. Overall I would rate the meal as disgusting and inedible.

Rainbow is a small place tucked away in the Hannaford parking lot - its easy to pass over and only has a few tables, but the food is pretty good and it is definitely work checking out, especially for lunch. Not only is it pretty fast to get your food, it is always cooked fresh and they have good variety in their menu. The lunch specials are a bit small, but they come with rice and and choice of egg roll or chicken and are priced nicely. You still get a solid value for your money.

After paying and sitting to wait for the food to cook when it came to the table it was cold. It wasn't much flavor to the egg roll it was all cabbage. The fried rice was good but the raw onion gave a flavor of raw onion to it. The chicken chow mein with nice and warm but the lo mein was cold. We will not be back
