We didn’t realize that Nellie‘s changed hands and thought that once we were already there we would give it a try. The outside atmosphere was a big draw on a beautiful sunny day since we wanted to sit near the water. The menu is very limited and the service leaves a lot to be desired. The food tastes

2nd night in a row for dinner! Everything was amazing! Cocktails best ever! Raw oysters the best I have had in a very long time! Lobster roll! So yummy! Coconut Shrimp!! Highly recommend!

Decided to try the new Nellies. Serious mistake. Calamari that was limp and swimming in oil. If you can’t make acceptable calamari in this area you shouldn’t be in the restaurant business. And then supposedly vegan tacos that tasted and looked like chicken. And the bill charged for chicken tacos.

Not impressed at all. Maybe in the summer, sitting outside, if the menu improves, but not one of my favorites. Our waiter tried to bring out the appetizer with our dinner, which is useless, and we had fish tacos on cold corn Tortillas that lacked in appearance and flavor.

Good and service were stellar we had the nicest waitress! Only thing, the website brunch menu offers bottomless mimosas but when we got there they told us that was taken off the menu. Only reason we went there so we were a little disappointed

Best spot in Branford. Fantastic food, great staff, awesome location. Perfect spot on a nice day and cozy on a rainy one. So happy the new owners gave it the love it deserved!
