This was on our list if Pubs to try. Let me just say...not a fan. The atmosphere was good, but was curious as to why there weren't any patrons. Well, I came to the conclusion it's probably the food. While it looks delicious, it was very bland with no seasoning and flavor whatsoever. The only flavor we got was from the large amount of salt in the gravy. Wait time was minimal. Probably due to us being only the third couple in the restaurant. Staff was friendly. Best thing about the visit was the $2 drafts. Marked this one off as tried it, not going back.

Great service, great food! And great entertainment! The fried mushroom appetizer rocks! Fish & Chips are awesome!

So much potential here. The food and service is lacking. I ordered the fish and chips which came out soggy with breading that was thick and cold. Really disappointed. Sitting at the bar on a quiet weeknight my friend and I had to wait around 10 minutes to be served drinks upon our arrival. Will not be returning.

Went to an Irish Pub on St Paddy's day weekend, they had a live band and couldn't figure out that it would be busy.. Closed the kitchen because they couldn't handle it, so couldn't get food. Service was slow and terrible, 1 waitress. Had 1 beer and left. Don't have a live Irish band if you can't handle people coming.
Also they covered up the iconic wall which is like 1/2 the reason anyone would come here, very "Instagram worthy", so basically they killed this bar overnight. Changed the name but don't even have any signs anywhere saying the name has changed. Between the name and the wall, we thought we were in the wrong bar.
Bar Rescue needs to come in here and show them how it's done!! And uncover the cool wall that you see in most the photos here!!

Cons: food taste like dogfood. And looks like dogfood. Their namesake pie, which is an attempt at shepherd's pie, looks to contain canned hash of some sort. The fried Reuben appetizers which are overpriced and were not sent to go with any sauce (?), taste and look like fried shepherd's pie with a mushy dogfood interior. I would not go here to eat end of story, if representative of my meal. -2
When a restaurant has a sign outside that says "workers don't want to work sorry we're short staffed" it makes you question how they treat employees, not their work ethic. -1
Looks like a great place to catch covid from both employees and patrons. -1
Pros: the environment is what you'd expect an Irish pub which is chill, with good music.+1

Great Irish pub on Bloomingdale. Open for lunch and dinner. Live entertainment in the evening. Selection of sandwiches and entrees. Good appetizers as well. Friendly service.

Today I had lunch with my family at the Forge. I am not an adventurous eater, however I tried poutine and colcannon for the first time and I loved them both. The portions were great and everything was delicious and I will definitely return to the Forge.

The Black Velvet band was awesome. The service was incredible, including the honesty about there delays in the kitchen. I think it was managed very well and we had a great time.
