Review The Beefeaters Restaurant - Bradford

Alex Studd
Located in a former Carnegie library, Beefeaters is a great restaurant in Bradford! They have a large menu, but of course I had to try their beef. I was very happy with their Beef on Weck, although it's not as good as Olean's Beef N Barrel. I was actually most impressed with Beefeater's French onion soup (one of the best I have ever had!), although I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu! I absolutely would recommend it!

Ordered the beef on weck, medium rare with a side of fries and gravy. Was the perfect amount of food! The raspberry wheet beer is phenomenal, too. The servers and bartenders were all awesome!

What can I say, ... I like beef, and I don't want to overpay or finance my meal. This place checks all the boxes for me.

We visited from Erie while waiting for the matching band competition at the local high School. The atmosphere was unique due to it being in an old library. I loved the character of the architecture. The server was friendly, attentive, prompt, and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was served hot, fresh, and the order was accurate. The food came out in a timely manner. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We look forward to coming back next year when we are in town for the band competition.

This is a MUST! Food and service were incredible. The prime rib was the best I have had in years. Deserts were fresh and absolutely phenomenal!!

Amazing place to have dinner ! The restaurant is an old historic library .. right in the town of Bradford. Wonderful ambience! Got a table next to the fireplace… really great food .. didn’t try deserts tonight .. will definitely next time . Our party had : Prime Rib, Lasagna, Squash Ravioli .. all if it was perfect ! Can’t wait to return .

Nice experience prime rib any day is a winner. Got the super prime and it was 3 meals! Loved it. Baked onion soup was yummy. However my wife said the filet mignon was not very flavorful. Also I'm 99% sure the German potato salad is from the can I get at the supermarket The chairs seemed hard and it was difficult to think of anything else after a while because it hurt so much. I left happy, full and a sore butt and had prime rib for the next 2 days. I will be back and give 4 stars because they serve prime rib every day!

Wide menu, reasonably priced. So many temptations, need to visit more often. Seafood items are good, but so is their beef. Love the horseradish garnish on every table. Staff friendly, efficient.

I had the beef on a weck for lunch today with the German potato salad. It was delicious. I talked my wife into trying it and she said it was the best sandwich she ever had.

We have found a gem in Bradford!! Our entire experience was a delight! The food was delicious and the servers couldn't have been friendlier. The atmosphere is so unique too. I will be eating here every time we visit Bradford now. Thank you, Beefeaters!

LOVE THIS PLACE. It was our first time eating here. Everyone was so sweet and quick. The food was super delicious. Loved the sauce for the onion pedals. Plus the price for this amazing was great. I would 100% drive 2hr back to eat here again.

Some of the BEST German potato salad I have ever eaten. I would eat here regularly if it wasn't 6 hrs away. The food was enjoyed by everyone and the atmosphere was upscale without being snobby. A very welcoming place

The ambiance is impeccably beautiful. This place is awesome. I ordered a 14oz Prime Rib and I couldn’t finish it but I tried my best. Do yourself a favor if you’re in Bradford, come here for a delicious dinner... I will!! 8/23/19 I’m back for round 2! Loved the prime rib and the cheesecake! Stop by when you’re in town. I do!!

Original building was a Carnegie library. Make sure to ask about the history. Wait staff complies with covid safety measures and were very pleasant. We were seated and given time to check out the menu. We ordered surf and turf, salad and salted Carmel appletini. Steaks cooked just right at medium, shrimps grilled, salad fresh and soft rolls. Our server was super excellent, attentive and treated us well. Bartender was a delight and made great drinks. Food was very good at decent prices.

This place looks cool. Awesome bar and restaurant in an old library. Super high walls, wood and brass everywhere. The waitress was very nice. The chicken parm was burned, the black and Bleu burger was dry, but the shrimp po boy was very good. Peanut butter pie was excellent.

Super friendly staff. Really good food and the only dine in restaurant in town we could find. Loved the decor too. Very cool place. Would definitely come back. Thanks!

I was not happy with my meal. I had the chicken Parmesan with pasta. The pasta was over cooked and loose and runny. The sauce with not a real sauce, mostly pieces of tomato. The chicken was in thick slabs and dry. This was my second meal in a row that was disappointing to me here. I most likely will not return here. My overall experience was a below average meal- way below average- with a way above average price. This place has a great reputation but so far has not lived up to the hype.

A bit dark inside for someone with vision troubles but that was soon forgotten once the food started coming out to the table. The Shrimp and broccoli I ordered was heavenly and lasted 2 days as leftovers. I was sad when the box was empty. A nice suggestion by locals after I was sent to town to work a few hours.

Delicious. If you like prime rib this is the place to have it!

Must Have Beef on 'Weck. They have other menu items but it's silly to go to a place like this and not order beef.
I ate here once with a gentleman from NYC who fancied himself a connoisseur of roast beef and he wouldn't shut up about how he had just been served the best roast beef in the world.
If you haven't had a Beef on 'Weck sandwich, (or even if you have), this is the place to go.
Beware: the roast beef sandwich with gravy is smothered in gravy; it's not really a sandwich, but something you eat with a knife and fork.
I try to eat in the smaller rooms. The giant dinning rooms with their 25 foot high walls of weird wallpaper are a little unsettling somehow.

Nice place. A little pricey but good food. Good atmosphere.

Good Beef Bar. Went to Beefeaters tonight. My uncle had the Beef on Wick and I had the sliced roast beef plate. I got a Kummelwick on the side since I have never has one before. The beef was very good, and rare and sliced thin. Very nice dinner and the building and it insides are beautiful. Wait staff was attentive and I will be back the next time I visit.

The Very Best. We were staying in town for 1 night and read reviews and took a walk to find Beefeaters. We watched for foot traffic to see where people were going and found this gem. The building itself draws you. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I don't eat beef often but I'm so glad I indulged in the open faced beef sandwich...med. rare with German potato salad and the BEST homemade coleslaw. My sister got the French Dip beef and was impressed and my grandson thoroughly enjoyed his Taco Salad which was more then he could finish and that says a lot for a bottomless 12yr. Old boy. We shared a dessert that I can't remember the name but it had chocolate, peanut butter and ice cream...Fantastic! The waitress and service were perfect and the bill most affordable for what we got. Don't look anywhere else to eat... Head to Beefeaters!!!

The popularity seems to extend beyond the actual experience. I still give it a thumbs up for great service, pleasant atmosphere, and above-average food.

As far as I'm concerned the only thing worth eating from here is the Beef on Weck, (I can't get it where I live now and they do it perfectly - get it rare) everything else is mediocre and not worth what it costs. I would also get your sandwich to go - they have a habit of spraying Windex onto the empty tables right next to you. And who actually enjoys inhaling Windex fumes along with their beef?

Great Sandwich. The Beafeaters roast beef sandwich on a Kummelwick roll is simple yet of such great quality, it is one of the best sandwiches in Pennsylvania. Only thing I would have enjoyed was a selection of horseradishes so I could have eaten some a bit hotter, what they serve is pretty mild. Came thru with a couple friends on our bikes and it was just a quick stop, will most defintlty go back with my wife and have a full course meal and sooner rather than later! Liked everything about it, 1. off the beaten path 2. great useage of old library 3. Interior has a very classy feel to it.

Great meals. Always prompt service and food is always hot.

Beef N Barrel II.... Great beef selections and a nice use of the old building...definitely a spin off of the Beef N Barrel in Olean, N.Y. They don't do quite as good a job, but it's still really good. Very drafty the last time we were there....not a lot of atmosphere.

A reason to go to Bradford. I went to school at Univ of Pitt-Bradford over 5 years ago. I am thinking about taking a weekend trip back just to check out some of my favorite places, and you better believe I will be stopping at Beefeaters. This was my absolute favorite restaurant in the area, and I am looking forward to some prime rib.
