Review Stiggs Brewrey & Kitchen - Boyne City

We loved everything about our visit to Stiggs. Our server, Dan, was quick to offer us tastes of beer and the bartender sent over another one he thought we might like. We ordered a pork Cubano and a brisket sandwich, one with the suggested fuggle fries. Excellent! Our flights were tasty and well presented. The old building is amazing and Dan showed us the very cool vault room.Great place, can't wait to return.

I had the vegan sweet potato chili. I got a bowl because it was my entree. It had four tablespoons of chili….were they running out??! It was just ok. Good thing I added the roasted Brussel sprouts which were superb! Served with feta and apple in a balsamic sauce. I also had a piece of corn bread with maple butter. Advise: serve it warm. It was cold and rather bland. I couldn’t get any flavor from the maple butter.

Stiggs Chili - Sweet Potato chili, topped with brisket, cheese, & sour cream. I added a piece of cornbread with maple butter. I also had a side of Blistered Brussels Sprouts with Korean bbq glaze, feta and sliced apples. This was a perfect meal that had great flavors that pleased the palette.

Natasha handles herself very well even with a new menu, beer's, and a new ordering system update she knew what she was doing and made our first visit here awesome. She was the only server but handled herself just fine, waiting on multiple tables in a timely manner. The pulled pork sandwiches def. hit the spot, and we highly recommend upgrading to the fries they paired perfectly. We will be returning.

Delicious! Everyone enjoyed their beers and food. And the service was great. We are so glad we drove up from Boyne Mountain to have lunch at Stiggs. Definitely listen to your server's advice and get the brisket on the mac and cheese!

This place was great! They had many beers on tap and I made an attempt to taste them all(I failed). The ones I did taste I was very impressed with. Food was above average, but I really just went for the beer. I will be back.

Friendly place need to update their menu and let you know ribs are not served at certain times of the year instead of trying to just replace it with a couple slices of turkey. They did discount that after we said something. Drinks were decent, and it was a nice place to watch a game. Brisket and pulled pork were good.

Very small, but food & service was great! They had outside seating with a band playing. Highly recommend the Fuggle fries & be sure to use the dip they give with them. Sweet potato Chili (vegetarian) was yum--I went with the option to add pulled pork & jalapenos. Husband had the steak, medium rare, was cooked proper & he added mushroom & onions. He said it was delish. Bloody Mary was nice & spicy.

Get the Frughle Fries. Not on the menu today, but they made them for us. A MUST Everytime we stop.

Had a great dinner tonight, Dan was an amazing server even though he was clearly dealing with some difficult customers. Food came fast and was delicious, the food runner was friendly and helpful, my only advice is to lose the little tablet things the servers use since it seems like it makes their job much more difficult.

Took a drive a googled restaurants to find Stiggs. We were seated right away and greeted by a friendly server! Ordered the whitefish cakes - very good. Ordered the BBQ Salmon for dinner. Our server sent the owner, Mike, over to say hello. Nice personal touch! The BBQ Salmon was delicious! Very generous portion. I was a little disappointed in the amount of sides (roasted potatoes and brussel sprouts) that came with the dinner. I counted 2 brussel sprouts and less than 5 pieces of the roasted potato. Otherwise a great meal! We will be back 😊

Everything about this place is 5*. Friendliness of the staff, quality of the food, quality of beer, but what has always impressed me the most, is the knowledge the bartenders possess! Name a few beers (national beers) you enjoy, and they will suggest a craft beer they sell you will enjoy! Combine that with the friendly, personal service, and it'll be your favorite watering hole, with a great selection to choose from.

Exceptional house brews, the avalanche porter was phenomenal! Incredibly friendly service and staff. Emily and Sarah took supreme care of us all night. Excellent pulled pork and grilled cheese! If you are traveling this way, I would recommend you make it a point to stop and partake in the food and beverages

Stiggs was a total surprise. For a newer brewery they had a huge tap list with some excellent craft beers. On top of that, the Stiggs burger was phenomenal. Really cool atsmophere in the old train station building along with fast and friendly service made this stop awesome!

The service was great and the food was delicious. I had the Chicken Caesar Pita and it did not disappoint. My husband had the pull pork sandwich. And we each had the Grapefruit Rambler to drink. It was the perfect fruity beer. And our server, Melissa was very attentive and helpful in choosing our beers. We will be back.

The atmosphere is great. Our waitress was excellent. The food wasn’t my favorite. If the beer cheese tasted like cheese more and beer less it would have been better. The saving grace was the roasted garlic dip! That was absolutely awesome.

Stopped in twice during the holiday week. Great beer selection (their own and other MI pulls). They also do cocktails for non-beer drinkers. Menu is small but delightful. Can go heavy or easy eats. Bacon jam and beer cheese soup were delicious- burger well worth the order! They are kid friendly (at least during the day) w 4 kid-friendly menu options and Horizon milk boxes which made it easier for us to stop. Staff was great and place was chill and very welcoming. 2 small suggestions- in the fall/winter they might want a tv for sports. Also, although our staff was fantastic, during our first stop in our bartender didn't know a ton about their brews.

I visited for the first time and reserved a table online since it was Friday and figured it would be busy. When we arrived, they had our table all set up and explained the menu since it was our first visit. The beer was good, we tried one of their brews and another local. The food was great too with many different options to try. We were impressed with everything, especially our service. We will definitely be returning to try more beer. �

This was our first time. We loved it! Great beer selection, amazing food and wonderful atmosphere! We had The Mighty Mac (best mac n cheese ever) and The Stiggs burger! Check it out!!!!

Such a disappointment. Upon arrival we were completely ignored. While dining inside it took 15 minutes to receive menus and a greeting. After 45 minutes we had to ask where our food was. While our food was delivered warm, the burger was incorrect. Our server was kind. We were given plastic cups while previous guests were served glass. Our Fuggle Fries were good but a bit over-spiced to our tastes. The table beside us was left covered in spilled water most of our time there. The service was so slow on a calm day that I cannot fathom dining here again. It was clear that this server was not trained or not given adequate authority to improve our experience because of the lengthened wait time. As a resident of Boyne City, I am disheartened to see this as an experience our valued visitors will have.

This place is great! The food is excellent and the beer is fantastic! The service was quick and friendly.

One of the most beautiful bar tops I’ve ever seen. Rich super glazed white pine. Combined w awesome beer- both home made and a taproom as well, along w good, transformed fr an old train depot, this place is a hidden gem in BC

Great service! Nachos and house fries are both awesome! As for beer, I tried two of them and they were both good. If you like margaritas and gose style beer, you should try the Margarita Gose. Solid!

Great beer selection, awesome Michigan liquors and cocktails. Plus a menu to make your mouth water. The new happy hour and lunch specials are amazing!

My wife, mother in law and her sister went there for lunch. All ordered burgers, one well done, one medium and two medium well all came out medium rare. Olive burger had no olives. Pickles were supposed to be with each meal, no pickles. We got 10% off, whoopie! Beer is sub par! I've been home brewing for 5 years, I make better beer to style! Oh, and because I complained, bill took forever to come out!

Was here for the 1st time this afternoon and loved it. Great house beers, great taplist, had the beer battered grilled cheese and it was phenomenal. The bartender Alexa is fantastic, spot on recommendations and super knowledgeable about beer. Definitely will return, had a great experience from walking in to walking out.

Only came for drinks. Was just walking around Boyne and happened to see this place unexpectedly. Was very happy with the beer. Avalanche Porter not bad! Can wait to go back. Brenda was a hoot! :) Wasn't even our waitress but really enjoyed how attentive she was with everyone around her. Awesome service and I thank you for that. d Definitely made our experience more enjoyable. :)

Worst experience..... I do not recommend this place to anyone. After the waiter delivered r drinks never came back to check finally after 1/2 hr I got his attention to order and he brings the bill (forgot we had not ordered)...... once we ordered it was 45minutes later r food arrived only not to be correct.... one burger forgot the bacon and was not cooked correctly tasted like the meat was beginning to turn.... my burger was ordered med-rare arrived well.... went to cut the burger in half the bun crumbled it was so dry. To say the least I did not eat. Drink refills was like pulling teeth.... needed s & p asked never received.... mustard, ketchup and mayo we did get but had to ask ( if you ordered burger and FF you would think that would be brought automatically). The table next to us has been there 2hrs with the same problem. Two tables arrived after us and ordered their dinner after us did get their food before us. Never saw a manager.... on top of all of this they were not busy maybe half full. NEVER AGAIN WORST EXPERIENCE. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Ya know... this is such a great place... great food! But why is it that the staff is not so friendly? If they only realized that a smile and personality would help them make soooo much more money.... they do rely on tips... right?

Will never go back! Bartender was rude from the time we walked in the door. Another staff member that was behind bar replied "not on the clock" when asked a question and apparently there was not a manager on duty. Have given this place many chances!

Wanted to love this place, took over an hour to get very simple lunch, checks were messed up, overcharged for things not even ordered! Never again....

Stiggs is a great place. The servers are friendly, beer is excellent, and the management supports live local music. The manager Derek is an awesome guy and does a great job. We had a large group twice now and they took care of us.

Loved it. The stiggs burger is the best burger i have ever had!

We had a fantastic meal and tried a couple of the specialty brews. Thanks We Will Be Back.

Stopped in while visiting Boyne Mountain. Food was very good and great portions, tried a few different beers and all were great. I really need to know what is in the Stiggs Aioli ..... I could eat cardboard with it it’s so good!!!! Will be back

Amazing house beers, great food, excellent service, all in a unique and historic atmosphere- what more could you want? Best brewery and kitchen in the area- Stiggs rocks!
