Northern Michigan is wonderful in so many ways. It has the corner on sun, fun, and beautiful scenery. Our only complaint has always been lack of great food. Bella Vita is a standout and definitely one of the best restaurants in the area.

Very nice dinner. From starters to desert it was good. Staff was nice. The exterior is nothing to write home about. The interior is better. But the food itself is great.
The seafood pasta was bland. Tiny scallops, shrimp etc. service was phenomenal! Our waitress made it fun. Don’t blink, you’ll drive right by it!
Was hoping to visit Thanksgiving weekend but understand they will be closed. Best appetizers and Lasagna-looking forward to going back in spring!
One of the best dining experience I have ever had. The food was great and the service was top notch. Parking was a bit of a problem but that was only because it was so busy. The help was so good we never had to wait for anything, but never felt rushed.

The roasted garlic is excellent! A must try!The marsala was good but the meat was a little tough. The butter nut squash soup was not to my tastes. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. I will definitely be back!
I loved that they were helping the school with a fundraiser, the food I had was good but limited due to being for the fundraiser. But since we got a taste, We will definitely go back so I can try other menu items. The service was great too.
Owner Matt was graciously accommodating, and makes great drinks and conversation. It's a popular spot, so call for reservations if you can. The food was great, especially the cheesy garlic app. We had scallops and rack of lamb - both superb.
Absolutely an outstanding place to eat….walleye was amazing and the lobster shrimp bisque was so good it had to be sinful!!
Laura was our waitress and she is a sweet as can be and very knowledgeable and attentive to your needs ..there were 12 of us .

The meal was wonderful. Nice sized walleye filet. Coffee was smooth to cap off a perfect meal. Owner came over for a personal conversation. He said they were staying open through winter and early spring. Go there and support this wonderful restaurant. It is a gem! We would highly recommend it!

Wow! Bela Vita was recommended to us...after passing it by the first time, we pulled in to the parking lot. Walking in the door, we were floored! The decor is crisp and upscale, the menu and food were very well liked by my chef husband. He was pleasantly surprised! The service was top notch too

This place was AMAZING! It's truly a hidden gem, and it is so nice inside. The service was attentive and they really gave you your space. The food was well portioned and it was very authentic Italian! I will definitely be coming back!
