Armadillo grill has all homemade food. My waitress Tammy is a 12 year veteran of serving people great food. And it gets better!! the kitchen guru Elsie is 80 plus years old and loves her job. With the help of her trusty sidekick Melina . They have made me happy AND! they make everything from scratch. Its a must stop for great food

Had breakfast here with my son a couple of weeks ago and it was incredible! Couldn't wait to try their dinner. My husband and I went for dinner Sunday and I was so disappointed. My chopped sirloin was piping hot and delicious BUT my brown gravy, pinto beans, and mashed potatoes were barely room temperature. The mashed potatoes were weirdly dry and -crumbly??? I think they needed some milk or cream. It all would have tasted great if it was hot, even the crumbly potatoes. My husband ordered the brisket nachos. They were perfect. And the portion was so big he couldn't finish them all. I'm only taking away 1 star because the breakfast was so good, and I'm sure my dinner would have been too if it was hot. Maybe the kitchen just had an off day?? Don't hesitate to try this place if you're in the area. I will definitely go back for breakfast, and maybe I'll go again for dinner, but I'll probably order a salad as my side :)

This place has not disappointed both times I’ve been here. And I’ll be back. Again. And again. Went with the Brisket salad and a sweet on the side. The server accommodated my requests for “different than how they do”. And smiled doing it. Heck, she volunteered to do so. Brisket was superb. Salad part had plenty of variety to keep the taste buds all over the place. They done well. From when I arrived to when I departed. The truck stop part is cool too. Don’t forget to check out the Western Apparel store in between the eatery and the truck stop.

Came here during a long road trip because the kids were getting restless and I’m so glad we did! The food was wonderful and the waitress was so friendly and knowledgeable. The food came out fast. I wish I got our waitress’s name to praise her. Next time we are up that way we will definitely stop by again!
