Classic cheerless Sicilian pizza and a large meet all sub. Pizza is AMAZING and a rare find these days with most of the other small Italian bakeries closed. Really brought back the childhood memories.
Meatballs in the sub were tender and sauced nicely with some provolone cheese.

Sammy Carlo's was the first spot I tried after moving to the neighborhood for breakfast. Since then, I went back for their lunch subs and retro candy and soda selection.
This morning I ordered SAUSAGE, EGG &CHEESE w/side of BACON... it was unexpectedly top notch, YUM!

Had some time to kill while waiting to pick up my daughter from Suffolk and found Constitution park to spend a few hours. I’m not familiar with this part of Boston so I googled lunch near me. Saw the name and checked out the website and quickly decided to try.

Best Italian sub shop and deli around. Not only is there meatball in Italian sub. Some of the best I’ve ever had there Italian entrées are excellent as well. They also have a very successful, catering service. I highly recommend this beautiful old-school place.
I grew up going here back in high school (Savio). I haven't been there in about 20 years. The other day, I was in Eastie and had to go to Carlo's. I'm very happy to say that the quality is still amazing to this day. I recommend getting a couple slices of pizza too. You will not be disappointed going

It's a neighborhood Italian deli that serves great lunches and cookies and candies and... whatever I have not tried

Did a catered event, food was excellent. There was an issue, they forgot about two dishes that we called and added on, and no sense of concern by them about making it right. So service could improve.

The food and the people who work here are the absolute best. I've been many, many times, had just about everything on the menu, and I promise you, you just can't go wrong! I would give them 6 stars if I could.
Stopped in with the wife for a quick bite earlier today. They have really lovely slices with an exceptional sauce . The subs were great and my wife loved that they weren’t too overwhelming and messy to eat. Would go back in a heart beat.
