The minute I entered their restaurant, Dev/Dave (pardon me) and Asif were very friendly. I told them it was my first time at the restaurant and asked what each of the dishes were. Dave had such a warm demeanor and talked about all the dishes with passion. I asked him to tell me about the dishes but
As a former New Yorker living in RI I miss Trinidadian food, and this brought me right back. The friendly service, the chill vibe, and boy the food was like your friends granny asked you to stay for lunch. I never had a double before and I devoured two of them so fast while driving away... this pla

I never taste food so good in my life. And Iโ€™m not even exaggerating. Everything is so clean and authentic. My go to is the Curry chicken with rice and chickpeas. I hated chickpeas before I ate them here, and now I eat them all the time. The cucumber that they give you plus the hot and sweet sauce i
I love D Coal Pot! If you have never had Trinidadian doubles, then this is the place to go. They are the best! The family that runs it is warm and friendly and the food is great.
My first time visiting I went for breakfast. My husband ordered my food and when I bit into it it was amazing only thing I wish was that it has some type of sauce or dip to go with it bcuz it was kinda bland to me. But everything was fresh and prepared upon request. I think I had saltfish and bake.
This review is long over due! Love, love, love this place! Love the owners too, so friendly and genuinely nice people! Iโ€™ll continue supporting their business as they have done a wonderful job keeping me and my husband as happy customers!
Family oriented restaurant with a transplanted Trinidadian vibes in the heart of Hyde Park. When you enter this establishment you will feel welcomed with warm embrace. Customer service is top notch. The food is amazing; doubles and bakes and shark is a must have. A rare find, a true ๐Ÿ’Ž!
Stopped in close to closing time. 1st visit and definitely not our last. We drove an hour and a half. We had curry goat and chicken. Bussup and the works. Food was amazing. Planning our next trip already. Having lived in Grenada and vacationed in Trinidad the food was just like home.
We enjoy having the Palorie, Doubles, Fried chicken, and homemade natural drinks. If you read this review tell Mr. Dave I sent you. You will not be disappointed. Fresh Food made daily. Very artsy outdoor decor. When the weather is warm you can enjoy your lunch or dinner out front in the patio
