I went there for the first time through an event Newbury Center for first-generation students organized. It was an amazing night of great food and great drink. I am not even a wing person but the wings they have here is extremely delicious. The bartender, Jason, was extremely nice and he made me and
The renovations are really nice, they have a GREAT selection of beers ( not just a bunch of IPAs like I expected) OK, they do have a bunch of IPAs like I expected, but they also have a decent selection of good quality lagers too. If it were more convenient to my commute, I'd go here more often after
Attended a 60th birthday party at the 'Castle' and the venue was amazing. The dj was good. The space wss open enough to fit approximately 70 people easily.
Food could've been hot. It was cold and no chaffing dishes.
Some of the staff seemed helpful.
My friend had a great birthday.
Absolutely the chilliest vibe possible, everyone who works here is sweet. They're kids working their absolute best, and doing a damn good job at it. Drinks are standard, don't expect a top notch aged whiskey, they'll probably have a JD. Food is standard too, but tastes good
Nice place for BU students to hangout. Need an ID card to get in!
Your summer place to get relax at this place. Great view of Charls River. On the opposite side, you can see MIT Buildings. You can enjoy walking along the park beside the river.
Wow!! More stars if I could. Not everyday you get to hang out in a castle with your friends and drink beers. Every castle needs a queen and this one has Shaina, who was the host that greeted us. Very friendly and welcoming, and even went out out of her way to get us waters when our waitress was tak
The food was good, the drinks even better, and the service is stellar. They have a good taste of music, and you can do work there if you want to. They stay open late. It's kind of upscale, no yelling and shaking.
Visit here every Thursday with a group from my school. The food is cheaper than other places, and it's good, but nothing special (except maybe the cheese fries.) After the remodel they've updated their ordering system which is nice, but it has lost some of its "hole in the wall" charm. However, the
Myself and a few other alumni visited "the pub" last weekend. The renovation looks very nice, and I'm sure it's more functional. Especially year-round. But not having the sandwich menu any longer is a big disappointment. That was the thing that was unique about the pub. You can get a generic bar foo
Pros- Delicious sandwiches, a nice beer selection, and its good to have a pub on Campus.
Cons- no waitstaff, you have to order from kiosks or the bartender and then pick up your food at a window, so you have to guess when its ready. It seems bizarre to me that they wouldn't hire a few servers.
Great place to relax and pop a few cold ones after class. The aesthetics and 100+ plus year old architecture ads to the charm. The place used to be an actual castle ! Great beer collection. Would recommend the weinsteffan.
Large variety of beers, several ciders, and also a standard full bar. Nice atmosphere. They do offer vegetarian burger and sandwich options, and the totchos are good.
Got invited by the math people after a BU math talk. Great vibe/music and a good selection of drinks. Didn't get to try any food this time though.
Great beer. Great food. Renovation was awesome.
