Their food taste African and delicious. I visit the area during convention, searched African restaurant near me & Ashur came out. I went to Ashur each day 12mins drive based on the positive online reviews & it was good. I tried the goat meat, lamp & chicken all taste good👌.You may be a bit discouraged by the environment but the food tastes good.
Phenomenal neighborhood restaurant. Full of African locals and Uber drivers at all hours, but everyone is welcome. Meals are halal, most popular items are the meat dishes that come with rice and salad. The lamb shank is huge and delicious. Some people come for the strong, sugary teas, coffees, and a roll only. Family-owned and operated, owner is always helpful if you have questions with their style of food. Been bringing people since 2014 and it's never disappointed. Double check hours during Ramadan, as sometimes the dine-in hours change and they only sell to-go.
Expand your culinary pallet with the cuisine at Ashur Restaurant. One thing is for sure each time you visit Asher: The food is delicious, and you are most certainly welcome. The sambusa are great! Don't forget to ask for the busbus sauce! The house sauce is homemade, and if you don't get it, you're severely missing out.
If you haven't been here yet, you're missing an absolute gem. Come get some delicious, authentic cuisine ASAP.
A restaurant that serves halal and tasty Somali style foods. I had the Lamb Biryani and it was so delicious and the portion was huge. Very kind staffs, genuine and warm atmosphere.

If you are looking for a halal food, this is the spot to consider. The portion of food are a LOT. Lots of meat and rice. Went they after Jummah prayer and had to go back again the next day. Great food and great stuff.
It was Ramadan so they had a limited lunch menu. I ordered the Chicken Kabob with rice and it was soooo good and you get so much of it. I will definitely have left overs for lunch tomorrow.
The food they had was marvelous, and the service was great. They didn't have falafel, but they took our falafel order anyway. When it didn't come, we asked and then were told they didn't have any.
Great service, amazing food.
Not sure whether the picture is good at showing how big the plate is, but it's really huuuuuuge! It's tasty, just don't forget to add salt and pepper to the meat. There's limited table service, you make your order at their counter and pay at the end at the counter as well, but they do bring the food to your table, which is totally fine for me.
You get what you pay for because the food is super tasty and they give you a huge portion. We had to take food home with us because of the large portions! :-) The staff is really nice and we will be going back to that restaurant the next time we go to Boston to visit the big masjid over there.
Even if you are not a Muslim, you will love the food at this place. It's worth traveling a bit to eat there.
