Clay Pot Cafe - Boston - Photo album

Yummy no frills clay pot spot in Chinatown. Restaurant is very small and likely can only accommodate groups up to 5. Menu was small so the service was pretty fast. We got the eel and fish pots. The eel I would order again. The fish had a very strong smell which made the food hard to eat at first.
This Hong Kong-style restaurant is a winner! Every dish we tried was spot-on, from the savory to the sweet. The flavors were on point, and the variety was impressive. A definite go-to for an authentic Hong Kong dining experience.
Ordered the abalone, sausage, and mushroom claypot. Very good but the sausage was a little on the salty side. They take time cooking so quality is pretty good. Prices are reasonable. It's a simple, tiny place with few tables, so a bit claustrophobic when crowded. We would go back, but try to avoi
Delicious and authentic Chinese food! They are no longer CASH only and instead take card/Apple Pay. Relatively small place but food comes within a reasonable amount of time and super flavorful, delicious. We tried the Yellow Eel Claypot (small, picture shown) and the Salted Fish with Eggplant which
The overall atmosphere is great, it's homey feeling. The food is great, the Claypot could use some more salt or flavor. Good value.
It's a rare find in Boston for sure. Don't expect much in service and seating, it's a quite small place. Taste: I came across this place when I read about this place possibly being the best clay pot rice in Boston, and to my surprise I think this is one of the top clay pot rice I have tasted. The r
This place is super tasty, cheap, and filling! The atmosphere is cozy because it's a small place so come earlier than rush hour! I got the chicken and Chinese sausage hot pot and stir fried yu- choy. They prepare it more traditionally so it's not heavy on salt and all that other stuff, just enough f
CASH ONLY! It’s a “hole in the wall” tucked in a corner building kind of restaurant, but it’s good! Come here for a variety of clay pot rice, it’s take awhile to cook, so be patience. While waiting for the rice, definitely order their herbal soup! I ordered the oxtail herbal soup ($10) and pork patt
Loved the food here! Definitely a hole-in-the-wall type of spot but very authentic in taste. My husband got the Chinese sausage and chicken clay pot and I got the minced beef and egg clay pot. Both were delicious! I love how the rice got crispy where it touches the clay pot—added some nice flavor an
Small restaurant with big flavors . They make the dumplings in house and they were awesome. The book choy was delicious as well. We got a rice clay pot with bacon and sausages and it was delicious as well.
Had a great experience on Christmas Day. Home cooked meal and welcoming service. Dumplings and Hot & Sour soup were unbelievable. Everything was fresh and very affordable. Can’t wait to come back
It was packed with people when I got there. I was alone and ordered 2 dishes. I ate them all up. I would like to be back again when I visit Boston next time.
Small restaurant in Boston Chinatown serving regional Chinese cuisine. Limited seating but managed to grab a seat during lunch with no wait. Ordered the chicken and Chinese sausage clay pot with rice. Order was fresh and tasty, though I did feel the meat was a bit salty. Total was about 10 bucks, wh
Wide selection breakfast to dinner at good prices including eel and frog and best scallion pancakes I've had. Waiter could tell we had no idea, sat down next to us and made recommendations based on how adventurous we were each feeling. Only complaint was that the rice in the clay pot dish was a bi
Super affordable food! Small place with fast service. The rice coming out from the claypot is fragrant with the right amount of crunchy. The pork and century egg porridge was good as well!

A small no-frills Chinese diner with a solid clay pot rice and dumplings. My friends and I came here for dinner while walking around Chinatown. The place was mostly filled with locals, and we had a hard time placing the order as the owner lady didn’t seem to speak English. Nevertheless, she made su
