There's only one Jamaican restaurant.(the original Norfolk street location). The flavors of the food that I've had from this establishment was flavorful and full of life. The spices and seasonings of the stews are authentic, the dishes they offer are exquisite and taste great every time I come there. Everything from the rice and peas to the soups to the stew peas to the stewed meats are excellent. This is the location right here. The original location of the 5-7 "only one Jamaican" restaurant locations.

Amazing spicy fried chicken (I know it’s bad for me, but I always need to get 2 and eat them right away), oxtail, curry goat and stewed chicken. Get the peas and rice and cabbage and ask for extra gravy. Best Jamaican food! We could walk to Flames from our house and STILL go Only One! A medium can feed two people, easy. They load it up!

I went to this resident because it was close to the place my son game was. We drove in 3 hours for the game so I did not want to go too far from the field. The staff was fine the staff was pleasant. I order 2 small meals for my son and I the portion was a lot. And the food was very good. Well seasoned I had the stew pork with rice and peas and I order the sweet and spicy chicken with rice and peas for my son. I also order 2 mild Patties and a slice of Carrot cake which I also enjoyed. In my travels this is one of the best Jamaican Restaurant I have bought food from. I would definitely visit them again if any of my sons have another game i that area. Great job guys I enjoyed every bite of my meal. And I know my son did also.

This the best Jamaican food you likely will ever have, it’s certainly the best I have ever had. Get the curry goat large with rice and peas and the steamed veggies. Also get the oxe tail large with the same sides etc. The fried chicken is my favorite in the area, great spices in there. This is a take out place. Expect to wait in line. It’s worth it.

Their curry shrimp cannot be beat! When there’s none I usually go for the Salmon and that’s pretty good too. Reason why I won’t rate a five is the rice, looks, taste and feels over cooked sometimes. Flavor will always be there no doubt! I also get the feel that no one wants to be there the times I’ve visited. I’m not demanding for that to change but at-least don’t let the energy show when communicating with customers. The place is small and sometimes gets crowded. There’s been instances where I’ve left because of that. I recommend trying whatever.

I happened on this place while looking in Google Maps for somewhere to eat after a function one Sunday evening. It was awesome to find great Jamaican food at a good price open on a Sunday evening. Being a storefront in Mattapan, the space was small and takeout only. But the food was awesome!! And even though there were different people being served at the same time, the senior lady behind the counter kept excellent track of each person's meal so the cashier didn't get it confused!! I had the fried chicken (with the curry gravy, of course!!) & my wife had the jerk chicken, both with rice & peas. They had a good selection of soft drinks (including Jamaican brands) as well. Fast service, but very business-like (as Jamaican fast food places tend to be), and can be intimidating to a first timer who doesn't understand the Jamaican accent. But I recommend it highly and will definitely keep it in mind if I'm in the area again!!

This is a MUST Try... The food and portions are the best in North America. I was really amazed. Keep up the great cooking. I wish you had other subsidiaries near me.

The most authentic Jamaican restaurant in boston, MA. I just wish they could extend into a larger space and offer dining uption. But food is a 10/10.
