I got the All you can eat sushi for lunch. I was very surprised by the size of the place, much larger than expected. Overall not surprised by the quality, you get what you pay for. The white fish was good and rolls were good. Very typical ordering system for an all you can eat sushi place. Definitely coming back for lunch again.

Yamato II Sushi Buffet is a great place to go if you're looking for high-quality sushi at an affordable price. The fish is fresh and flavorful, and the made-to-order sushi is a standout feature. I tried the spicy salmon and eel avocado rolls, and they were both delicious. The chefs are skilled and take pride in their work, and it shows in the quality of the sushi.
One of the standout dishes for me was the lotus root deep fry. It was the best I've ever had - crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It was a great complement to the sushi, and I would definitely recommend trying it.
Another dish that I enjoyed was the miso tofu. It was elegant and flavorful, and it added a nice touch to the meal. The texture was perfect, and the flavor was just right - not too salty or overpowering.
Overall, I would highly recommend Yamato II Sushi Buffet. The quality of the sushi is impressive, especially considering the affordable price. The made-to-order sushi is a standout feature, and the lotus root deep fry and miso tofu are both delicious. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, and the service is attentive and friendly. If you're a sushi lover, this is definitely a place you won't want to miss.

Came here for dinner with a group, for the buffet. We were seated very quickly. You order by marking the order slip with what you want, and get a new one if you want to order more later. Good value for your money if you are hungry and order more than once. The sushi rolls themselves came out fairly fast for the standard ones. The more specialty rolls did take longer. There was not an overt amount of rice padding on the rolls, unlike other sushi buffets. We finished off the night with the ice cream which was decent. Great place to eat, food was tasty enough, and had good value for the money. Bring a group out to eat here. Just make sure you eat everything as wasted food will be charged since its a buffet.

Decent quality sushi for AYCE. A bit pricey, but it'll definitely satisfy your sushi cravings. They have a good selection of sushi on their menu, with a few premium ones you have to pay extra for.
Overall pretty quick service and casual ambiance (with a bar).
Our favorites were the mixed tempura and squid sashimi. Also recommend ending with ice cream... it really does open your second stomach.

Pros: all you can eat sushi is well priced and with good quality. You can make a reservation here. I’m not sure if it was just who I was with but there seemed to be a lot of fried tempura options. The fried ice cream looked good. The agedashi tofu was good. Cons: there is a flight of stairs to get to the entrance and stairs to the bathroom. Many of the tables and seats are high top.

The variety of food is comprehensive, both Japanese regular sushi and American specialties (such as Philadelphia rolls, avocado rolls). If you have more than 4 people this is a great place for a party, I remember a few tables next to it were groups of 6-8.

I came to eat lunch here with a group of friends on a Saturday afternoon. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Ordering was easy enough as they gave us menus to check off the dishes we wanted. The food came relatively quickly and was delicious. Definitely will consider coming back again for more in the future n

We've been here twice and both times we've loved everything. The is so much to choose from and considering everything is made fresh, the service is good and fast. I took away a star because it's down a flight of outdoor steps and getting the elevator can be a challenge; also the bathrooms leave a lot to be desired. Overall, I highly recommend.

This is one of my favorite places to go to in Boston! I really like the ayce sashimi section for dinner ($~43 after tax and tip). Just be careful not to order too much white tuna (that seems to be escolar, which has lots of wax ethers).

Nous nous sommes rendu au Yamato avec un ami. Le service ayant été correct mais pas de « qualité », sur une addition de $66,32 j’ai laissé $6 de pourboire. Le restaurant s’est permis de débiter ma carte avec un pourboire de $10. C’est inadmissible et irrespectueux.

We arrived at 6:10 & still haven't finished. Our waiter is so high or drunk that he's been forgetting everything, he's very nice but so messed up. He randomly stops at tables dropping off miscellaneous items. Every course took an extra amount of time to arrive. We ordered dessert an hour ago, asked the manager & server about it twice...still nothing. Even the manager can't seem to get anything done other than walking around the floor. Just right now the waiter randomly dropped off a carafe of ice then walked away, funny thing is that the table next to us came over & said this was for them. You can't even make this stuff up, if this was dinner theatre then it would be amazing. From beginning to end we've been here for 3 hours. The sad thing is, the waiter is clearly under the influence of something & the manager does nothing about it. The only redeeming quality is that the food is good.

This was one of the slowest eating experiences of my entire life. We arrived promptly at noon and were among the first to be seated. We didn't get out of there until 2:15.
The food we ate was OK. The waiter actually seemed to be trying. But the food simply didn't come out. The plate that took the longest was just Sashimi (that I payed a high premium dinner price to get at lunch) - literally 10 small slices of fish on a plate took 45 minutes to prepare.
My advice is to stay away.
