Review Vaisakhi Indian Kitchen - Boston

Nice and clean Indian restaurant! We went with a group of friends and had a great time. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. I really liked the food. As you can see in the photos we ordered a nice variety. Everything was delicious.

Spicy chili vegetable Momo appetizer was amazing. Also very happy with my saag paneer. Onion kulcha was a bit fluffy and bland. Restaurant was absolutely freezing inside. They need to get the heat fixed or turn it up. They definitely need to play some music because the sounds that dominate the interior are chairs screeching across the floor (why don’t they pick them up when they need to move them?) and dishes clanging because for some reason they were washing them in a tub at the bar.

This is my favorite Indian food restaurant in Boston!! Staff is always SO friendly and accommodating. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is usually never crowded because a lot of people order delivery. Perfect place to sit down for a warm meal during those cold Boston winters ❄️

I came here after taking my son to look at local colleges. We arrived here starving, and we left with our stomachs filled with joy! The food here is truly authentic Indian food. I will be coming here again the next time I visit the Boston area!

All around very solid North Indian restaurant in a city that desperately needs more good Indian food. The menu is very simple: samosa, pakora, a few chaats, and your standard Punjabi style curries. But the execution is solid and all the items we tried were good. We started with a samosa chaat, which was really good - the samosa retained its crunch and the chole had good flavor, though the yogurt was a bit dominant. For mains, we got a paneer tikka masala and a bhindi masala and asked for both extra spicy, with a garlic naan, onion kulcha and cheese naan on the side. Both curries were really flavorful (neither were very spicy but that’s ok) without being excessively heavy or rich or oily. I’d highly recommend the bhindi - I thought it was excellent. The PTM was as it should be: nothing to complain about here. Naans were soft and tasty. Service was excellent and the folks working here seem really nice. This is a good Indian restaurant in Boston - that makes it a rarity. I’ll be back!

The second my group and I walked in, we were kindly greeted, and immediately shown to a table. The staff was nothing but kind and very attentive, which was appreciated for how much we ordered. Everything came out quick, which was really cool to see because they were quite busy for takeout. The food was awesome, temperature was perfect. We got the Butter Chicken, Garlic naan, and Chicken Tikka Masala. Everything was delicious. Great food, affordable prices, great staff. Looking forward to trying more food from here, most definitely recommending to my peers. Thank you so much!!

I've been wanting to try this place for a while because I've heard a lot of good things from family and friends. Two weeks ago, I had an excuse because my family was out of town and I needed something to eat after a long work day. I finally went and I was very glad I did. I ordered a chicken dosa to start which was massive and came with various traditional chutneys (coconut and tomato were my favorites). For the main, I opted for the thali. The flavors were amazing and portions were generous (especially for the price). I would like to add the service and staff were great. Everyone was really nice and welcoming. Parking in the area can be a pain because it is in a residential neighborhood. I parked along Commonwealth Avenue at a meter (make sure you pay). Overall, this is a delicious, authentic, and affordable place for dinner.

We loved ordered an appetizer platter which was huge and amazing and two different dishes and one was more delicious than the other. The waitress was super nice. We will definitely come back. The desert was to die for

The search for good Indian food in Boston is frustrating and almost futile. However, Vaisakhi was a pleasant surprise. Tucked away in an unassuming venue, this place offers authentic Indian food for a very reasonable price. The dishes were delicious and flavorful, and the service was good. I highly recommend this place for dine-in or take-out. Thank you, I will be coming back!

Takeout orders are always quick and great quality. The Chicken Vindaloo is a favorite, perfectly spicy and delicious. The cheese naan has a lovely mix of spices. Portion sizes are fair for the price, and rice is included.

Food was good (got the chicken kadai) but the medium spiciness wasn't quite enough for me I think. Excellent mango lassi as well; one of the best I've had. It was quite thick.

Delicious food and friendly service. The best and only Indian cuisine in Brighton. Vaisakhi is already showing a lot of potential. I can't wait to go back with my friends. Plate picture from the buffet, proof that I tried everything. 😄

Today was my first time trying chicken tikka masala with naan at Vaisakhi restaurant. It was exceptional, with perfectly cooked chicken and just the right blend of spices. I highly recommend it!

This is a very solid spot. The food is always good. Very nice holiday food too. And the service is very attentive—you shall not want for water. Far better than average.

Excellent food and service! The atmosphere seemed nice, too, but I was only there for takeout. I ordered a bunch of appetizers - the meat samosa, the paneer pakoras, and the aloo tikki, as well as the goat stew for dinner later. It came out to about 40 dollars not including tip, which I think is pretty fair. Went a little lower on my per person because of the extra apps I grabbed. The appetizers came with three really tasty sauces. Having tried a bite of everything, I can confidently say I'll be coming back to the Vaisakhi Indian Kitchen. The aloo tikki is crispy and well seasoned, as are the paneer pakoras. I love samosas, though by no means consider myself to be an expert, and the meat samosas did not disappoint! I thoroughly enjoyed the lamb filling, and they are a good size. I do have to shout out the star of the show as the goat stew, however. The meat is tender and delicious, the stew is well seasoned and the dish comes packed to the brim with thick gravy. It was so good that my 'bite' to try it turned into packing away the apps for later so that I could eat more of the stew. Even the rice I could eat on it's own, it's buttery and fluffy - the perfect vehicle for the stew. I'm still eating it as I write this review, that's how good it is. Knocked it out of the park, a full 10/10 and would recommend visiting this restaurant if you're in the area.

Very tasty and filling! We got several dishes and they were all great. My favorite was the chicken korma, so flavorful.

My favorite Indian food in Boston. Get the chilli chicken and eat it with garlic naan. You won't be disappointed.
