We first came across Oakleaf Cakes when we were living in the area and strolled by one day on our way over to Fenway. We stopped in for some lemonade and a treat, and both were delicious! So, when we started wedding planning, I thought this may be a good place to consider for our cake.
One of my husband’s favorite parts of wedding planning was the tastings, and Oakleaf did not disappoint. They prepared 6 cupcakes for us with different cake and frosting flavors. And we got to try the fondant as well, which was a yummy marshmallow flavor. All of the flavors were delicious, but we settled on a lemon cake with raspberry buttercream frosting. Since we wanted a yellow cake, we also had a layer of lemon buttercream frosting as the outer layer. I had found a picture of a beautiful tiered buttercream ruffle cake online that I presented for inspiration. We were quoted a reasonable price that was within budget. Also, Oakleaf had vegan options, so we ordered 6 cupcakes as well for our vegetarian guests.
We weren’t looking to spend a lot on the cake but we wanted something tasty, and Oakleaf did not disappoint. The cake was beautiful and so yummy. We got so many compliments from our guests. We even enjoyed our top tier on our one month anniversary! Thank you Oakleaf!
Oakleaf went above and beyond on our wedding cake! Sarah and Liz were both so responsive to all my emails, and the tasting was amazing! The flavors of the cakes are all great, and they had no problems handling my odd spice allergies. Our cake ended up being exactly what we wanted. They managed to en incorporate lace, burlap, blue ribbon, and the birch design while still making the cake look neat and absolutely magical! Plus, they delivered it almost an hour away, and were so professional through the whole process!
Cute cakes, delicious cookies, wonderful warm drinks in a cozy bakery in Boston. I really adore this cafe. Oatmeal iced cookie was true indulgence. Hot coco and apple cider were perfect on this chilly day.
I ordered a custom cake from oakleaf for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. They were very responsive and accommodating to all my request and did an incredible job with the cake!! The flavors were pretty great, we will definitely order from them again!
Great spot to grab a quick brekkie! Very quaint atmosphere combined with stellar pastries and coffee give the place a warmth and homey feel. They make their own Chai latte blend and its delicious! Their croissants are tasty too! 10/10 would recommend!
I’ve been ordering drinks from here for a while and they’ve always been so delicious. I ordered a cake for the first time this week and it was the most beautiful I’ve ever seen, and it was DELICIOUS. Their icing is the only I’ve ever actually liked. Very friendly staff, too!!! Wishing them the best. :)

This may be one of the best bakeries I’ve ever been to! And I haven’t even tried their cake or breakfast sandwiches, yet. The latte was good, their espresso wasn’t too bitter and they didn’t drown it in milk which was nice. The Blueberry ginger muffin was really fun! The ginger wasn’t spicy enough to overpower the blueberry. The lemon macaron had the classic refreshing lemony taste and the cracker was just the right amount of soft and crispy. The vegan blueberry poptart was not overly sweet which was a good thing, but I think if you had to choose go brown sugar all the way. That was my favorite.
Several years ago, before we got married, my wife got a birthday cake from Oakleaf Cakes Bake Shop. It was filled with realistic jasmine flowers made out of frosting. It was so beautiful and delicious that we knew we needed Oakleaf to prepare the cakes for our wedding day. And they did not disappoint in the least.
For our wedding, they provided three elegant and delicious cakes to sit on top of platforms on our desert table. In addition, we ordered a large number of macaron's accentuate the beauty of the cakes and the rest of the desert table. And yet again, both the cakes and macarons were delicious.
The staff were friendly and easy to work with. They delivered everything to the venue on time. We would highly recommend working with Oakleaf for any special cakes you need.
We grabbed an after lunch dessert at Oakleaf and it did not disappoint. The marshmallow pop tart was great and full of flavor!
Madison at Oak Leaf made my birthday cake so special. It was obvious she put thought and care into the creation of this cake. Truly was so special to enjoy with family on my birthday!
Awesome little bakery. They have some of the most unique small pastries. They also make amazing cakes and other various desserts.
We visit here everytime we are in Boston, the Aztecs hot chocolate is a must!
As someone with an egg allergy, it’s not common for me to have a great tasting birthday cake. Oakleaf has managed to make two amazing gourmet cakes in my life in the past year; the first being the most delicious Pumpkin Spice vegan cake that was my wonderful birthday cake I don’t think I’ve ever had cake that good!! The second was for my partner and was a lovely red velvet cake that I’m still waiting for someone to share a slice with me! The customer service when ordering the one for my partner was phenomenal and I truly trust no other shop when it comes to cakes!
