Review Casarecce Ristorante - Boston

Lovely and quaint Italian restaurant in the North End. Ducked into here for a lunch and pleasantly surprised by their delicious and quick food. Highly recommend the vodka sauce- very flavorful! Chicken parmigiana was well cooked, flavorful, and not at all dry.

We had the lobster ravioli which was pretty good and fresh tasting. My personal taste left me glad I got the side of pesto sauce for an additional 5 dollars because the pasta itself tried to be the star of the show. The pasta was great I just felt like it overpowered the lobster and sauce. We also got the chicken with vodka sauce which had a very good sauce flavor with the chicken being perfect to our taste. Seating is limited but the staff is super friendly and accommodating, try to get the three seat table by the front window for some great people watching.

my new favorite restaurant in the North End! We had the caprese to start which was absolutely incredible. The homemade bread that came for the table was a perfect combination for that appetizer. For entrees we got the Lobster Ravioli and the Pesto Gnocchi. Both were very good, especially the Pesto Gnocchi, which was so tender and melt in your mouth and you could tell how freshly made it was. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone and will definitely be back.

Visited here on an NBA game night at around 6pm and luckily nabbed a table for two without a wait (a queue formed soon after). Staff and service were excellent, and the food was very good too. I knocked the food down to 4/5 for a couple of reasons... The calamari felt more quantity than quality, and there could have been more marinara sauce with the chicken parmigiana. But the chicken parm was otherwise superb, very tasty and a very generous portion. We also had bruschetta and butternut ravioli, which were superb. Would happily return when next in Boston.

Food was fantastic! Hands down incredible! Service was mediocre: water glasses sat empty, server never brought 2nd glass of wine I ordered- just slow. But-we’d come back for the food, and give them another try!

Hopped in after walking round the North End for dinner with no idea of what to order. I left it to Justin and he delighted me with the Lamb Ragú which was divine. The lamb melted in my mouth and the pasta was fresh! I will certainly be back to try more of the menu on my next visit to Boston.

I don't go to the North End often. It's hard to get there, hard to park, and always crowded. But I happened to go last weekend, and based only on a glance inside from Hanover Street and a sandwich board outside reading "Fresh Pasta" I decided to have lunch at Casarecce Ristorante. Casarecce is a small place with only about ten to fifteen tables depending on how they are pushed together. It was full but not crowded and tables turned over rather quickly. The service was warm and friendly and the atmosphere charming. I started with an Aperol Spritz, a favorite in the North End. They also brought warm bread with olive oil and parmesan cheese. We ordered meatballs. Three to an order, they were a delicious blend of pork and beef in a tomato sauce with shaved parmesan and a small piece of garlic toast that should be an appetizer on its own. Of course, we went for the fresh pasta. I ordered the Spaghetti Vongole, heavenly fresh pasta in a white wine and garlic sauce topped with clams. It was fantastic. My wife got the lobster ravioli, made with fresh pasta and stuffed generously with lobster. It was topped by an incredibly rich mascarpone veloute. I'm not going to become a North End regular, but I would deal with the parking and the crowds to eat at Cassarecce again.

My server was extremely helpful. I was put at a table the was a really tight fit for me, and he moved me when I asked him if I could be seated at a table with more space. My server seemed to be friendly. My food, oh my gosh. If anyone asked me where the best places to eat Italian food, I would definitely say a few places in the North End, Boston, including this place. I had the Lobster Ravioli, and it was amazing. The sauce was nice, the lobster inside was beautifully tasty, the ravioli was perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was nice. The building was really cool.

Easily some of the best Italian food I have had in my life. Service, venue, appetizers, entrees, drinks - all supremely divine!

One of the best Italian restaurants in Boston's North End. Fresh pastas, great service and tiramisu that's to die for.

GET THE TIRAMISU!! This restaurant was so cute and quaint. I have to start by saying how our waiter was amazing. He was so attentive and thoughtful when it came to going through the menu. We got the chicken spring rolls which were nothing crazy. We all enjoyed our meals. My dad got one of the veal meals and he said it was some of the best veal he has had. I have to vouch, it was really good. The only thing is how compact everyone is, it almost felt dangerous. Nonetheless, it didn’t really bother me because we were sat in the back and I understand that the majority of restaurants in little Italy are like this.

We had dinner on a Saturday. The service was terrific. The casarecce lamb ragu was amazing, the lamb was so tender, and the ragu sauce was fantastic. I also got the chicken risotto, and it was very bland, no flavor. The chicken did have a little flavor, but none for the risotto. I had to add salt, and I never add salt to cooked food. The restaurant was extremely loud, I could barely have a conversation with my girlfriend. Small, intimate, and close proximity to other people eating might be the Italian culture, but it's my least favorite.

I was visiting for a conference when I decided to meet a friend in the North End for dinner. Like most of the places here, the Italian restaurants are very tiny inside. This was no exception, but it's to be expected. My chicken cacciatorre was very good, which I had with a Peroni, and my friend enjoyed the gnocchi. Our server was very friendly and effective. It was a nice experience, and I recommend it.

Excellent, authentic Italian, fresh made pasta and home made bread. I don’t take picture of food - but I took one of our empty plates - I wanted to keep eating, it was so good! Everything was awesome! Food, Service, ambiance. Would 100% eat here again and highly recommend to anyone trying to decide which Little Italy restaurant to eat at! 😋

Small and cozy place. The restaurant serves authentic Italian food, and they prepare fresh pasta. However, none of the dishes stood out for us. The service was excellent.

We stumbled upon this gem. Wow. Sometimes you just get really lucky picking a random restaurant in a city you don't know. We got the quaint little window cornah table. Top notch people watching. The service was perfection, he really knew the menu, the variety and dishes are plenty. So much is made fresh daily. The food was the best Italian I've ever had. We had the tomato burrata and eggplant modugnese for the apps. I had the Bolognese and my date had the gnocchi, leaving nothing on the plate. Dessert was tiramisu and bread pudding. And a cappuccino with baileys. Must try!
