Friendliest I have ever met, very positive and out going. Every drink comes with a mint on top. Very tiny little shop so expect to wait outside if there is a line. Worth stopping by if you're in the area.

Can I rate it 6 stars? The (deserved) reputation for excellent coffee drew me in, but the fantastic service keeps me coming again and again. I don't come in daily or even weekly, but the owner remembered my order and the staff (really it's just two guys) are dedicated to making each customer's day. This is the best coffee shop in Boston, as far as I'm concerned.

Tom is so great and friendly! He tries his best to remember our names and always strikes up conversation while he makes our orders. The prices are around the same as Starbucks and the fair trade beans come from Costa Rica (?). I'm a big fan of the nutella mocha! I also really like the fact that they recycle their hot sleeves - every 9 you bring back, you get a free drink!

Excellent organic fair trade coffee (fair prices too, comparable to any other coffee shop) AND they support great nonprofits - very impressive for a small business!! The staff strives to provide personalized customer service, it's like going to Cheers for your coffee every morning.

Worked downtown for a while and made it a point to stop by every morning, and usually every afternoon. Coffee is about more than the roast - it's about the experience. Starbucks makes you *think* you have a relationship with your barista, but Tom (the crazy coffee shop proprietor) and his team make every visit into something worth talking about. Don't even get me started about Dunkin Donuts.Their coffee is great, baked goods awesome, and apparently they just started offering sandwiches and lunches. If you have some extra time in your hands, ask any of the guys about their bigger vision for Boston Brewin - it's enough to get inspired over.

Great coffee and friendly staff. The owner will make it a big deal to introduce himself when he sees a new face and will try real hard to remember your name until he gets it. They have everything from your normal cup of coffee, to stronger stuff, and a great variety of Mocha coffee flavors (rasberry and nutella mocha are my 2 favorite). They don't have much as far as food goes but it's ok.

I'm new to this fine city, and like any good samaritan, I've got to earn my stripes of finding all the good local hot-spots before in fact calling myself a local. This day was Wednesday, when I walked in and found a delicious small hot double toffee nut latte with whole milk in the charming little refuge from the rain known as Boston Brewin Coffee. Such a wonderful place, local pastries and coffee made in MA- dare I say SO local I have my fingers crossed that next time i'll leave with my very own Boston accent! Also, coffee's not the only warm, pleasant thing hiding in this shop- the owners are just wonderful. Good people, Good coffee, Good way to say "Bahston, yah alright!" Looking forward to going back..like, soon.

Why was my coffee so good this morning? 4 reasons:
1.) I connected with another human being rather than a robot behind the counter.
2.) I supported a local business AND a homeless shelter with just 1 transaction
3.) My reuseable mug was PRE-WARMED before my coffee was poured in, thus extending the amount of time my coffee was piping hot. This small act is so much appreciated!
4.) My coconut latte has now become a Friday Treat. It's like coconut flavors do a dance of happiness across my tongue and into my belly.

There is no friendlier, tastier, environmentally-sound, socially-responsible coffee shop in the city. This tiny shop serves delicious espresso, coffee and related drinks, along with sandwiches and baked goods. They're fantastic.
