Review Cafe Landwer - Boston

Solid 4 star dining experience across the board. Food and service were both good. Menu has vegan and gluten free options which is a plus for those that are looking for that. Lunch for two was $55 which included a sandwich, egg dish, smoothie, coffee and a tip.

Such an awesome place, good vibes. AMAZING FOOD! By the way we had also the fillet mignon, but it was so good - we ate to fast, so no photo haha The service was really fast too. To some up; the best place for breakfast and lunch, has now the best dinner menu too

I like the decor. I would come back just for the hot chocolate! It was yummy and sweet. The pancake is not your traditional American pancake. It tasted like an unsweetened piece of cornbread. It was fluffy and tasted a little grainy. The presentation was good but the taste was not for me. Next time I will try an egg dish. There is meter parking beside the restaurant. If you are facing Cafe Landwer the metered parking lot will be on your right. Plenty of spots were available when I went for breakfast on a friday.

The three of us dropped into Landwer's on Chestnut Hill Ave in Boston for a recent breakfast. The service and food was very good. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great and very inviting. The Avocado Tartine showed up with a crunchy za'atar pita topped with labneh, guacamole, cherry tomatoes, and radish. We added a fresh farm egg for a small price. Our second choice was a large serving of the Landwer's Pancakes. The cakes arrived with strawberries, blueberries, apples, and loads of whipped cream. There were side servings of Nutella and maple syrup, too. We topped all this off with a side of eggs and turkey bacon for a small fee. Our last choice was the Turkey Bacon Benedict which landed at our table with two great pouched eggs and, of course, turkey bacon! This was topped off with spinach and caramelized onions. All of this was served on a toasted challa bread with Hollandaise sauce. We all enjoyed our food and our experience at Landwer's. The next time we are in Boston we will darken their doors again. This is a solid 4 ½ star restaurant. I just wish Google would allow ½ stars. You will not be disappointed dining at Landwer's. Enjoy!

Food true to israeli/meditteranen cuisine This is a must go breakfast spot around boston. It also has great food and sandwich options along with good choices of fruit juices..I also love the way dishes are served, a work of art!

I greatly enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. The “Pink menu” is such a nice specialty menu item to accompany Barbie fever. I love ❤️ it. I was there for breakfast and ordered a rich flavored cappuccino and avocado toast which was paired with labneh, a hint of radish and an egg (optional) and on a zaatar pita. The flavors bursted in my mouth. Highly recommend this place.

Cafe Landwer is a truly wonderful restaurant, whether you want an amazing breakfast/lunch/dinner, or are just looking for a nice cup of coffee or tea. - - - - - I've been to this location twice now and another location closer to downtown many times: each visit is fantastic. And this is coming from someone who's not the biggest fan of Mediterranean cuisine. Their food menus are quite large and fairly varied. Their breakfast menu (which is served until 3 PM) includes lots classics plus many specific to Mediterranean cuisine. Shakshuka is always a great choice and the eggs benedict looked lovely. The lunch/dinner menu is full of so many great choices, but I would *highly* recommend the Aireis. I think my favorite thing about Cafe Landwer is the drink menu, though. They have a small selection of wine and beer, plus a decent-sized list of cocktails. I've yet to try one, but they sounded great. The warm and cold drinks though, that's where they shine. There are so many different varieties of coffee and tea, plus things like hot chocolate and a wonderful mint lemonade. I like to try a different drink every time I come. The atmosphere is also really nice. It's a bit hard to explain, but it's like an upscale twist on a diner. Lots of windows, white, and bright colors. The dishware is fancy (or at least looks the part). It's just a nice place to be in. The service has always been great, too. Friendly, prompt (but not overbearing) servers. Just do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Went for brunch on Sunday and was blown away by the quality of the food in the atmosphere of this place. It's in an unassuming building right in the middle of Cleveland circle, but the food was world class. With so many great options on the menu. The lentil soup was amazing as was the chicken shawarma pita. The desserts are also world class. Highly recommend!

**update on May 20** After coming here almost every Saturday, since the last weekend we’ve noticed a server called Ella. She gives you more love than your mother and can dance and sing in front of you like a Broadway actress. Probably the most compassionate and caring waitress we ever met. Quite a character not to be missed and easy to notice if you ever encounter. Cafe Landwer is lucky to have someone like Ella. ** Cafe Landwer’s fineness is no news to the locals, as they’ve been in business for a century, so I won’t repeat on everything they’ve done right as a business and a restaurant that everyone else has posted here. Just one word of advice—get a reservation on their website through Yelp ahead of time. And one recommendation for hot beverage lovers who loves exotic food and cares about health—try their Sahleb, a flora rose water orchid-extract drink from the Middle East that is calming soothing and a perfect replacement for oatmeal or a sweet beverage. It’s hard to describe the taste, but I’ve been thinking about it ever since I had it.

Words can’t do justice to the food and the impeccable service at Cafe Landwer. Your table is always well taken care of, and their manager/captain is always up for a good chat with the customers. I love how people focused they are, not just trying to make small talk. The rozalach here are to die for. We’ve tried all the variants and there’s no one clear winner. The coffee, the drink cocktails, the food, there’s nothing that’s a downside. Everything is as good as it gets! I’d definitely recommend having brunch at Cafe Landwer to kick off a wonderful weekend!

Amazing breakfast and brunch experience. My friends and I came here this past Sunday after hearing about their popularity on social media. On the weekends, they don’t accept reservations, so we had to wait for 30 minutes on their waitlist to get seated. We got a couple of their most popular menus, and it was a huge success. First of all, with German heritage, they certainly knew how to make a proper schnitzel. A lot of the schnitzels I had in the US were dry on the inside, but this one was very juicy and tender. Pancakes were light and fluffy, and they went perfectly well with the cream and fruits on the side. Shakshuka was also delicious, but the real highlight of this dish was the za’atar bread on the side. Soaked in olive oil from za’atar, the breads were really good, and their combination with the poached egg and chunky tomatoes was simply sublime. Highly recommend getting brunch from this place, but make sure to go early or be prepared to wait at least half an hour.

I had wanted to come here for awhile, and I finally came. Luckily, the wait was not long when we got here last weekend around 9:15am. The waiter was attentive, and knew anything we asked him. The place was packed when we got there, but surprisingly, the food came out fairly quickly. All of the food we ordered were delicious especially the fries, and the shashuka. The Turkish coffee was alright, wasn't the greatest - I've had better before. I would highly recommend coming here for meals, it's so yummy'

What a great place to go, anytime of day. I especially love that there are vegan options on the menu! I have a dairy allergy and it makes it easy for me to see what I can have on the allergy-labeled menu. You won't be disappointed with your meal (or service) here.

When they placed my breakfast in front of me, it felt so special. I ordered a delicious israeli breakfast. It was delightful. My daughter got the waffles with blueberries and bananas. All was delicious. Staff could not have been nicer. I will absolutely be back!

A local institution, this is a great place for breakfast or brunch. All the preparations, including various shakshukas and eggs Benedict variations, were excellent & the baked goods, including fresh pitas, croissants and English muffins (both regular & gluten-free) were outstanding. Coffees are great, fresh-sqeezed juices a treat, and the service is friendly, upbeat and accommodating. Reservations recommended on weekends.

One of my favorite breakfast cafe' in Boston. Good coffee and food, very relaxed environment with both indoor and outdoor seating, good service, child friendly : ) Parking lot nearby. Usually not too crowded in the morning and around 3-5pm. The Japanese restaurant beside is also good for dinner.

One of the finest cafe experiences of BOSTON. I had the best authentic CHICKEN SHAWARMA (Mediterranean Version) of the BOSTON. I am a MOCHA Lover, and so I will say. They have one of the best HOT CHOCOLATEY MOCHA in town. Amazing experience, but expect delay in order waiting & order taking process due to many seating customers. Lastly, I wish I just a had a LIME in the HUMUS BOWL. Portions are generous.

What can I say about this place? Cafe Landwer is by far one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Great staff and hosts. The food is always delicious. The service is always fast, even on the weekends and the place is always clean. I’ve tried Cafe Landwer for breakfast, lunch and dinner and I was never disappointed! Must have for breakfast: Pancakes, waffles or the Mediterranean Omelet. Lunch/ Dinner: I recommend the pesto pasta, the burgers were also great and the Chicken Schnitzel. Drinks and coffees are also great. For dessert definitely try the Rozalach. Prices are good. They also offered live music during the summer!
