Very good sushi if you’re ordering delivery. The Maki combo (salmon avocado, tuna avocado, and California) is a great value. It even comes with miso soup. I liked the high fish to rice ratio as well as the avocado that was appropriately ripe.

A bit of a hidden gem in the Allston area! Walking past this spot for almost a year, I had no knowledge of this restaurant, nor how good it would be. Right when you are sat down they bring complimentary miso soup for the table, and as someone who is normally not a big fan, i thoroughly enjoyed it. I got the Allston roll and the Pink Lady Maki, and both were very good. The food was all great but the price was a bit higher then I would have thought. Will definitely try again in the future.

I feel that this place is underrated. Oppa is great and it has the potential to be more! This is hole in the wall authentic. Don't come here thinking it's a grandeur building because it isn't. It's small and homey but the sushi is worth it. Service was good - didn't hover and explained which rolls were placed where on the plate. We did have to ask for a water refill but it is one person serving/greeting/seating and he had a lot going on between others dining in and picking up take out so, give some grace! Miso soup is given complimentary when you are seated. It had a great flavor, a little room temperature but the tofu was cooked just right. We had the Red Dragon, Oppa Maki, Tornado Maki and Rainbow. The Tornado and Rainbow were our favorites! Their sake was light and mild, which I really liked (and I'm not a Sake fan). Reasonably priced sushi for being in Boston, averaged $30/person for our meal. If you're looking for somewhere low-key and has quality, check out Oppa!

Pros: server was excellent, service was fast and respondent, sushi was amazing, get #23 ( torch salmon was awesome) and #15, the Celtics dish sauce was okay at best.
Decor is valid and artsy!
Misou soup was a 10/10 wow!

One of my favorite sushi places in the Allston area. It’s almost underground and they’ve recently expanded so it’s not tight and uncomfortable. Staff is always very friendly and it’s a great place to go as a group. You can try multiple rolls
Without breaking the bank. Also, if you do go alone the rolls are reasonably priced as well.
I’ve tried most of their menu and they never disappoint. Checkout the photos below and ask for the flaming sushi, it’s great for show!

This would make a good date night spot. After walking down a couple of stairs to the entrance and sitting down in a booth with moderately dim lighting, the setting feels intimate and cozy. The service here is also very quick - we were in and out in less than an hour.
We started with the sashimi appetizer and then ordered the salmon love and tuna love, each of which come with 6 pieces of nigiri and 6 pieces of sushi, as well as a bowl of miso soup. The entrées were decent, though with each dish around the $25 mark, I was hoping for some flair to elevate the experience.
Overall, this spot is nice but a bit pricey for what you get. I would consider returning and instead of sashimi, I'd try some of the special maki rolls to check out the chef's more creative side.

I stopped here after running some errands and i found the atmosphere to be really calming. It was just me and one other customer so service was pretty quick and efficient. My server actually recommended a chefs favorite and I really enjoyed it. Its a lowkey spot which gave me local iykyk vibes. Situated kind of underground you'd probably walk by it 10x if you didn't know it was there, so I'll definitely pop back in again just for the fact that its almost a neighborhood secret. Their menu is pretty big and they have an excellent choice of chef maki creations. Unfortunately though, while I was there the dinner menu wasn't available but I still had ample options to choose from. If your in Allston and need good sushi/maki 🍣 check them out.

When you sit down you are given a large bottle of cold water to refill your cup, and a nice bowl of miso soup comes with I think every special.
The basement location and fans keeps it nice and cool on a hot day.
The music is a little loud , but it’s kinda fun to hear Party in the USA in 2023, takes you back to simpler times.
The sushi was tasty, but I need to remember that I may want 24 pieces but I can only eat 12…

Hidden gem is right! The staff was SO chatty and friendly, I felt like I was in a family dining room more than a city restaurant. The broccoli and chicken were delicious. Well-seasoned comfort food.

Free miso soup was an awesome bonus. Pretty good quality fish for the price, really ended up enjoying the playboy maki.
I had the Naruto appetizer. It’s salmon with cucumber acting as the “seaweed.” For $13 this ended up being pretty underwelming.
I ordered the Sushi Deluxe, which included some tuna nigiri with wasabi between the fish and rice. I was not expecting this to be the case. There was enough wasabi to make me tear up. I usually eat my sushi with wasabi, so there was definitely too much on this piece.
Altogether a good choice for sushi, with some dampeners to the experience.

Great place for sushi and tea. I came here for a quick bite and left very happy. I ordered the Milk Tea, Miso soup, and California and Spicy Tuna Maki. All of it which was amazing! The California maki tasted super light and fresh with the Avacado. The spicy tuna was actually spicy compared to some other places that didn't have any kick. Overall very happy and will come back if I am in the neighborhood. One thing to note is that they are not open from morning to evening. They have some hours like 3:30pm to 5pm where they are closed. If you are going not during a mealtime I would double check before heading there.

When I discovered about this Sushi place, I would come here almost once week. I love the customer service at this place, the waiter/waitress would make sure we all set and come check on us every 10mins. The owner of this place is so sweet because he would greet us personally and make sure everything was good good. The food at this place is delicious, especially fried calamari, monk liver and sashimi/sushi is my favorite food to get every time I go.

Small, cozy place with a big sushi menu. The food was amazing and the service was good as well. We ordered fire sushi, oppa maki, and tako sashimi between two people. The serving size was good and the sushi was delicious and filling. It's a nice place to go with friends and chat over sushi and beer. Overall, nice experience and great food.
