Review Beacon Hill Chocolates - Boston

Been to a lot of different boutique chocolate shops, but I think this might be the best one I've seen! Great selection, friendly and helpful staff, and the chocolate is absolutely delicious. The shop is adorable too, definitely coming here for gifts for my wife/mother!

Best chocolate shop in Boston. Hands down. They are in a league all their own. I have been purchasing from them for 12+ years and they always make the best gifts. Exquisite selection, great staff, wonderful service. And they SHIP!!!!

Exquisite Chocolates. Very nice shop in a beautifull and cozy neighborhood. A little bit expensive, but hey, what to expect? The Streets around the shop oozes of Boston.

This is an adorable little chocolate shop, with a very wide array of chocolates and truffles. The shop feels very quaint and adorable. They also have a very cute selection of ornate boxes, where you can buy a box and then select the chocolate you want to side to make for the perfect gifts. The dark chocolate truffles are popping them were delicious. A few of the pieces of the assorted chocolates I bought or not as fresh inside. But they still looked adorable and it’s worth it.

We stopped in while walking through beacon hill. I am so happy we did! They had a large assortment of truffles. I got a 4 pack for myself and a 4 pack for my MIL. The staff was so helpful with recommendations. We also tried the macaroons which were tasty though a little hard - but we did walk in 20 mins to close. Will stop in on our next visit for sure. Owner - you are too sweet! No they were still beyond delicious! We will definitely be back on our next visit!! I ate the chocolates i had picked for myself half being recommended by staff and they were all out of this world! (The strawberry shaped one, the honey hive one and the orange cream with vodka were the best 🤤🤤🤤)

I first learnt about this place and their product from a sweet friend of mine with a sweet gift. She gave us a box full of artisan chocolates! So, while I was in Boston, I went to check their store and their chocolates. The inside was filled with chocolates everywhere. I was familiar with their truffles, but they had so much more than that. They had chocolate bars, chocolate covered nuts and fruits, candies, fudge, etc., etc… Another thing they have that I really love is their handmade keepsake gift boxes. They are more on the vintage design, which I think are just awesome! They have them for every occasion; mom, dad, sister, brother, Boston images, birthday, wedding, graduation… I was there to get some beautiful truffles for my husband, so I went to see the option. And my goodness, they had so many different kinds of truffles! I picked a cute gift box that holds 12 truffles, which cost extra on top of truffles. It was so hard choosing just 12 truffles, and, it was like a puzzle. They have to fit inside the box, so you can’t choose all big sized one either. Luckily for me, the staff who helped me was very skilled and experienced. She helped me to get everything in there just right! It was a sweet delight, the lady who helped me was really nice, it was fun to see she was also excited to see my choices of truffles. And yes, they are all super delicious! If you are in the area and need a gift for someone special, stop by and get some beautiful and tasty truffles!

Not only do they have wonderful chocolates but the service is wonderful. The lady that helped me went so far as to ask what my mother's favorite color was and went into the back to find ribbon that was purple! Thank you so much!!!!

Best. Chocolates. Ever. After eating at The Paramount, walk down and grab a beautifully designed box of chocolates from Paula and her wonderful young ladies. They take their time as you select the perfect box and perfect chocolates for you or your special someone. These boxes are works of art and we get them for our clients every year. They also have bars, in case you just need little something extra. There is something for everyone here and you can mix/match the ideal assortment, or they will put it together for you. They have such perfect little cat chocolates that I just adore! Well worth the visit.

(Almost) the best chocolates in Boston, maybe in the US... I'm originally from Europe and American chocolate is not quite the same honestly... but at Beacon Hill chocolates they improt truffles from all over the world I believe, or at least a lot from Europe, and that's always been my go-to place. I've tried many shops across the US and thus far its always been my favorite. I said "almost" at the beginning just because there is one local chocolate shop that I may like better, but chocolates in the US are already very pricey and that place is twice more per truffle than Beacon Hill, which is just nuts. 😅 Beacon Hill also offers truffle classes (never been myself) and they have those awesome handmade boxes that can be bought (for a premium) which makes it a really really neat gift for any occasion! Highly highly recommended!

Great chocolates. Recent visit revealed serious staff shortage. I would have purchased more if the store was not so crowded. I hope they are able to resume full service. The truffles are splendid!

Pretty steeply priced chocolates, but there are a lot of them! I wish the prices for all of the store items were more visible. Same for the truffles, it would have been helpful to know which ones are cheaper and which ones are more expensive. I got a hot chocolate and was pretty hesitant when I saw that they use powdered hot chocolate, but was actually very impressed! It was strong but not overpowering and served at the perfect temperature. Very cute store to go in around fall-winter time.

Delicious artisan chocolates. Bought some and shipped some to share this delicacy. And then visited again for more. This store also has varieties of chocolate bars from across the world. I also bought a Mexican hot chocolate bar made by Seattle chocolate company. It definitely had a kick of cayenne pepper. The store also sell gelato and ice in limited flavors. Not a large selection of ice cream flavors but I have to try it next time. They do serve their famous hot chocolate that I wish to try in winter. Staff was polite and assured me the chocolates shipped will be kept cold during shipping to avoid melting in this sweltering summer. If you like to gift chocolates, they have many gift options that fits many occasion and is personalizable. I definitely recommend this place. So many flavors to try, you will definitely love some.

My wife and I were in Boston last week on vacation. We were quite fortunate to discover Beacon Hill Chocolates. I purchased a box of personally selected chocolates. These were the best chocolates I've ever had, and we've bought chocolates from all over the U.S. from California to Massachusetts. I highly recommend this shop. Their customer service to top notch and their chocolates are fantastic. I'll certainly be ordering from them via their internet site for years to come.

This candy shop is great. I order truffles through their website and they are always so good. I especially like the Salted Caramel Fudge and the Toffee truffles, but they're all fantastic. And its a lot of fun to go through the picture of each truffle on their website as you add them to your cart. You can see what you're buying.

Great customer service and fun selection of chocolate. We're going to make this a must stop shop next time we come to Boston.

A adorable and delicious little chocolate shop! Not only the chocolates that are pretty but the store and packaging is too. Their are some that do contain alcohol and other allergens but they make sure to boldly label and carefully separate. They even put the lists of chocolates and the ingredients with pictures in the box so you know which ones you want to eat if your sharing a box!
