Good food at great prices, friendly staff and fun, family friendly, neighborhood pub style environment. We have been going to the Galway for over a decade and a half and they never fail to delight us with their tasty food/draft beer selections and awesome friendly service!
Best place in JP! Great food and a respectable beer selection all at excellent prices. The staff is outstanding. They are friendly, knowledgeable, amazing human beings who, if you're not careful, will quickly become like family.
Fantastic local experience with a cool local scene. The value and quality are simply amazing. Our server was super friendly and efficient and it was busy. Baked Haddock from the menu with added newburg sauce was delicious as was the honey fried chicken. Love the Galway House!!!
I’ve never had a better plate of Italian food. Had the combo. Everything was A plus. Worth the trip.
Quite enjoyed my time there! I didn't eat anything, but the beer was good! Bartender was on point.

I love that place!
Tremendous food. Scallops phenomenal. Came with clam chowder which was also fantastic. Tried the pot stickers, first time ever that I had them outside of a Chinese restaurant, and they were better than most I've ever had, right up near the top. Value beyond belief, and excellent service. If there were 6 stars I'd give 10. That good. Ya gotta go.

Was Very Hospitable and Major Grande.
It's...a bar...with a dining area. Super busy that night and it seemed they were short staffed. Despite this, our waitress was attentive and the food and dessert were very good. We had ribs, burger, chicken tenders and steak salad. Dessert was carrot cake and canoli. My brother said the cake was good and I was very impressed with the canoli ( considering we have Mike's pastry in the city) . Everything was top notch. Can't wait to go back and get a burger this time. I can't believe I haven't come before. Shame on me. Well that's going to change. My new favorite in town restaurant for down home cooking.
Early in the meal I thought I had Covid because I couldn’t taste the bread. Then my boyfriend told me the bread had no taste. Phew. We both seemed to have bigger eyes than stomachs because we ordered like crazy: pizza, seafood entrées which came with a big mug of chowder, bread, and two large sides. And we somehow ordered french fries on top of all that. The pizza was surprisingly delicious and the crust was probably the best part. The cheese seemed to have a habit of sliding off but that might just have been because it was served so hot. The seafood entrées were just OK – the scallops were rather tasteless other than the breading on top. We did enjoy the chowder which was surprisingly thick and creamy, although it was almost devoid of clams. and finally, the fries were delicious. Next time I think we’ll just get a pizza and fries. As an aside, Sage decided to try a Negroni and it was terrible which was not the fault of the restaurant but it’s probably just a terrible drink, period.
This is such a gem in Boston! The food is always great and it is such an awesome vibe! Would definitely recommend if you live in the area! The food is all pub food. My go to is the fried clams and chips. They have bar seating and table top and are always busy. It is very chill and a great place to go with friends and family. We absolutely adore the clam chowder, it is definitely one of the best in the city.
My husband had the Ribeye and it was delicious. He also really enjoyed the coleslaw. I had the lasagna and was a little disappointed as the cheese was gooey instead of stringy. It tasted like mush w noodles. The service was wonderful!
Enjoyed watching the Superbowl with one of my brothers here at the Galway House in Jamaica Plain.
Best New England style Clam Chowder in town, quick friendly service, fair drink and appetizer prices.
I just had the best dinner of my life. Those are scorpion wings(twice as spicy as ghost), I thought it would be inedible, but it was perfect. The Chicken Parm was perfectly cooked and tender. Best Irish pub in Boston!
Authentic local spot. We just had the nacho plate and a delicious beer while watching the Celtics game. Welcomed warmly and treated well by the staff.
This restaurant excels in what it is. A great neighborhood bar with affordable food. Portions are decent. They serve food late which is hard to find. You can have a drink with your food from the full bar. Staff is great.
This establishment is my HAPPY PLACE. everything on the menu is worth trying. Really good pizza and super fresh seafood. The staff is super friendly and chill.
Went there for lunch which my wife and I go at least twice a month
She got the ravioli and sausage ( 10 dollars) I got the hot dog plate 2 tasty hot dogs with onion relish and mustard came with fries and coleslaw , also had a cup of their corn chowder
The food was good and the bill was like 23 bucks love this place
Great local bar, great atmosphere and friendly people. The chicken wings and steak tips were delicious.
Galway house has been there forever. Nobody will say it is fancy but the food is good and the drinks are as well. Can have a solid old-school evening of food and drinks and get out of there for 50$.
