By far the best, authentic Mexican restaurant in the Boston area! I absolutely recommend it.
Great food...fantastic waitstaff! Have had breakfast, lunch and dinner...and I forgot to mention the great drinks...especially the margaritas!
Being from California and also having been to Mexico I’m always looking for a great Mexican joint with bonus points for good location and this place is the ultimate check off for it.
Conveniently located near the train station at Orient Heights and just outside of Winthrop, this spaciously open and brightly colored restaurant offers both delectable food sweet friendly service too! I’ve had the chilequiles which are AMAZING but I craved French toast so opted for Angela’s special which was just as appetizing. This is a must come for your spring/summer lunch!!
Had a great breakfast with two work colleagues before dropping one of them off at the airport. The French Toast was so delicious and I thought the portion of food was plentiful. Great atmosphere and very nice staff. I will make sure to bring the wife here one day for breakfast as we love finding great breakfast spots for weekend breakfasts together.
Tough to find parking and busy, so have to wait. Our waitress was great and so was the food.
What a great find! I came to East Boston for a vaccine and was hungry so googled a good place to eat nearby. What a delight this place is. Delicious homemade everything! The guacamole was sensational and came out in a matter of minutes in a beautiful stone bowl. I also ordered 2 fish tacos that were tasty, fresh and satisfying. They are app size but you could order 4 and have a full meal if you are hungry. I also had a hibiscus drink that was made from the flowers not a mix. My waitress Paolo was charming and friendly. This place is a winner and I will be back with my wife and kids. It’s 18 minutes from home but we go to other places that far away and this is a simple but wonderful place that one wants to support. Angelas its just a beautiful place were you can actually feel you are in Mexico. Being from there myself i always expect to much of Mexican Restaurants and this place its one of my favorites in Boston. Most of the food in the menu is super authentic (i just have to say that we are little disappointed with the taco arabe cause my husband is from puebla and def. They are not even close to be) also the Mole its good but i think its too watered down, maybe they can work in making it a little thicker like the original. That being said the Chilaquiles are the best I’ve tried in MA hand down. The rest of the menu its also very good. Theres a plate pequeño o Grande where you can try different small pieces but very well serve. Overall its an amazing place that for me makes me feel home. A must try in Boston. Also the staff is super friendly and nice. A+
Angela's cafe is a favorite of mine. I usually visit the eagle hill location. Today decided to try this newer location and was pleasently surprised. The location is more spacious that the first location and the food is equally great. The portions could be a little bigger but it is still worth it.

Angela's is a STAPLE in East Boston. Every experience I have had, whether dining or takeout, has been AMAZING. The food is always fresh, served quickly, and most importantly, DELICIOUS. All of the workers are also so kind and make you feel welcomed.
It was an excellent opportunity to try real Mexican food, we have been to several Mexican restaurants and we can say that Angelas is one of the best we have tried, we loved the taste of the dishes we ordered and the attention was also excellent.
Breakfast food is wonderful but don't let that distract you from the amazing lunch and dinner foods. Friendly service, they get to know their customers, and the decoration is bright and inviting. The fresh squeezed orange juice is so good and their Horchata is worth it for sure. Definitely worth a visit and if you have an experience anything like mine you'll be back.
