Gene's Chinese Flatbread Cafe - Boston - Photo album

Finally had time to try today. So glad I did. Right off the Mass Pike which is great for me. I got the pulled pork medium spice. Large serving with lots of pork and great thick noodles, off the charts delicious, the broth was heaven. One picture is when I was in my car, the 2nd when I got home and a
This is probably my favorite place for lunch. I get the #4, extra spicy. It’s essentially just their amazing, thick, chewy noodles with spices, a ton of garlic (in the best way), cilantro, and a little oil. They never miss. Grab a couple of lamb skewers on the side and you won’t regret it! The #4 al
Great value for money in Downtown Boston! This place is highly recommended for take out - they are known for the hand pulled noodles and their wonderfully meaty flatbread sandwiches (w. either lamb or pork filling). The hand-pulled noodles are thick and chewy (not my taste, honestly, but undeniabl
The house noodles #4 is a banger. Lamb skewers are amazing. Worth every penny. Hot and sour dumplings #11 pictures below, also delicious.
Good Xi'an food. Would highly recommend the biang biang noodles and tea egg. Lamb skewers were a bit sad. Didn't have that xi'an spice, nor the bbq flavor I was looking for.
Gene's Chinese Flatbread Cafe always serves amazing food. I eat from here once every two weeks. The food is plentiful, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I will say the spice levels are no joke (even as someone with a high spice tolerance)- the Boston location definitely is spicier than the Woburn
The lamb skewers were delicous - well seasoned and fatty, I am so glad we bought 10 of them. The pork flatbread sandwich was very tasty and had more flavour than the lamb one. Speedy service and a great price! Would definitely stop by next time we’re in Boston.
Ordered takeout for a quick bite for Saturday lunch. Food was ready in no time and was absolutely incredible. Had the hand pulled noodles, pork flatbread and lamb skewer all for under $20. Flavor was amazing on every item. Will be back here without a doubt.
5 stars for the price/quality balance. The hand-pulled lamb noodles are what they are most known for (a steal for 13$!), and they're definitely worth a try if you're in the area. It's not the best I've tried compared to other similar places in other cities, but it is the best option in Boston I have
The Lamb Noodle Soup was yummy! The Lamb Skewer was juicy and delicious as well!
Came here on a whim and was satisfied. Had #9, the cumin lamb and it was good. The noodles are thick, which I like, but wish they included more meat. It gets pretty congested during lunch time and the wait can be 15mins+. If you are ordering in person, you have to pay via cash; to use credit card yo
My husband and I ate here for a late lunch. This is easily one of my top five favorite restaurants that I have been to. We were lucky enough to snag one of the few tables available. Be prepared to take out when you order from here because there were about 4 places to eat. They are cash only if you
Gene's has been a consistently good experience for me since I started eating here since around 2016. Their food is fresh and if you order online the order is ready within a few minutes. It's a local gem that I recommend to many (especially if you like lamb).
It was good, but the environment could be better. Also they really don’t serve a lot of picked garlic with the noodles, I got 2 really small cloves after I peeled them, I asked for some more because it was really only enough for my boyfriend and I to have one small bite each, but they didn’t allow i
The dumpling soup was one of the greatest things I have ever tasted. The skewers were a surprise hit! Be sure to order one! The only downside was it was pretty hot in the restaurant.
Really great find on our trip, enjoyed the hand pulled noodles (no broth just chili oil) lamb skewers, pork and lamb burgers. The spice level I got was the spiciest and it was just right. Cash or they have a digital kiosk as well as some Asian drinks to try. The lychee was surprisingly refreshing wi
