Had a wonderful time here, everyone was friendly and helpful. Don't waste you time going elsewhere
Authentic pub. Not touristy. Casual spot in the heart of Beacon Hill.
Friendly as hell, a true bar rather than a tourist trap, lots of history, the owner is wonderfully chatty, the dark ale is outstanding, a rare thing to find to be honest in New England outside a decent Irish pub
Cool pub with a great atmosphere and beer selection. Despite being a bit late, there was a good bunch of people. It is a genuine local pub, full with quirky decoration and regular patrons. We went it for a beer with friends and had a good time. Prices are fair and the staff was friendly.
Stumbled upon this excellent experience with my teenage sons today while out doing tourist things (on a hot day!). We were looking for something quick but good and while standing outside debating where to go a lady walking by casually said “you can’t beat that place”. The awesome bartender offered u
Best Beacon Hill bar eveh! Great, attentive staff. Local flavor. Great selection of not just beer but also drinks. Management seems quite selective in their procurment of brands because there is a most unique (and fun) selection. Menu is on the mark. Overall 10 out of 10. 100% Boston for sure
Bartender was friendly and helpful (visited and was trying my first cider). Laid back and relaxed. Simple menu, great sandwiches and dogs. Cook was quick and knew what he was doing. Overall a great experience, and good first cider too :)
Haven't been to this place in about 30 years, nothing's changed it is the most awesome neighborhood bar you could ever hope for. Black and tan was as delicious as ever. Thanks sevens
I was hesitant in stopping in considering we're not local. Glad we did! Good vibes and better owner and staff! Felt welcomed. Rueben was on point and Harpoon IPA was awesome! Thanks from San Antonio!
Really down-to-earth place in Beacon Hill. Friendly owner, authentic pub atmosphere, non-pretentious local patrons. Loved it.
