Excellent place to eat very authentic Italian food in Boston! Staff was very friendly and the food is delicious! We were surprised on how inexpensive it was for the quality of the food! Especially as a tourist in Boston! Would definitely recommend!

Went on a Saturday when it was absolutely bucketing down rain, but it was definitely worth the wet feet. The bread is amazing. The Guazzeto di Mare is what to get when you want /all/ the seafood. Calamari, shrimp, and fillet of sole in a light red sauce sit atop perfectly done and flavorful lobster ravioli. (For about the same price as a basic lobster roll at today's - summer 2023- prices, and /so/ much more worth it!) Be sure to save a last piece of bread to get all of the sauce. Perfect New York style cheesecake, unadulterated by sauce, and cappuccino to finish. I tried to wait our the rain with a second, and never felt rushed or that they were waiting on me to make room for the next group.

The restaurant hits that nostalgic homestyle Italian restaurant. Portions are good, prices are fair, and flavors are simple but well grounded.

Get a true taste of Italy. Fantastic, authentic, and classy. I shared a dish, but if you eat like Kobioshi you can try a whole dish to yourself. Save room for desert the cheesecake is delicious. Got to love supporting small business the blood line of America!

This is a great little Italian restaurant! The owner/manager is very hands on and attentive to his patron’s needs/wants. We had Lasagna (10 out of 10) and Lobster Ravioli with Pesto (9 out of 10). Definitely a recommend!

Everything is always fantastic. This little place on the corner of the street has become a favorite due to the warm welcome we receive with every visit. Owner always remembers or drinks and or favorite appetizers. It has become a yearly must for my family.

Old time restaurant with pictures of famous guests who ate there over the years. Food was good. I asked for garlic and oil on my pasta instead of marinara and the waiter had to check with the kitchen. He returned and told me they would do it, but it would be $3 more. I don't care about the $3, but that was a first. I eat Italian at least once a week and have never had a waiter have to check with the kitchen. For the north end, prices were well below other restaurants in the area

As a fan of Italian cuisine, I recently had the pleasure of dining at Filippo in Boston - we even had the chance to meet Filippo and his general manager, Chriatian, who took extremely good care of us and give us a fabulous dinning experience. The eggplant parmigiana was tender and flavorful, and the Paul Revere ravioli with lobster was absolutely delectable. The dish was served with a side of penne pasta with plump shrimp and equally fresh sole in a bright tomato sauce. The flavors were expertly balanced, and the seafood was cooked to perfection. The service was excellent, wine was yummy, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I highly recommend Filippo ( and their other restaurant Lucia - also in the North end) to anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience in Boston.

What a great find! Overall, food is delicious and fast served, price is reasonable, friendly and quick service, great mood. Would definitely revisit / recommend. We went around 5:30 on a weekday and stayed for an hour. The food was served very quickly during the entire stay. There's plenty of seating so you won't have to worry too much about seating on weekdays. There is a GREAT amount of variety with food and their names are all in Italian so I recommend reading the menu beforehand. Or do what I did can get their daily special menu. Me and my husband got the two daily specials and they were both fantastic! The bread served before was great, plenty of salad came with entree, the mains were delicious, and the desserts were oh so great. Tiramisu and lava cake are a must. Plenty of drink options too, the espresso matini was great except beware that it WILL get you drunk. spent ~60 per person with drinks and dessert, a takeout box of both entrees. I would consider that price very reasonable. Christiano served us. He was very friendly and knowledgable of their menu. He's the best! Overall had a great time, and would go again.

What a great experience. Food is outstanding, with HUGE portions. First time we’ve had the veal Bracciolettine Calabrese. Trust me: ORDER it. Cristano was our server, and was every bit as instrumental to our experience as the excellent food. Grazie Mille❤️
