Review Terramia Ristorante - Boston

Emily Hamman
Walked in on a Sunday night. Good number of options on the menu, just enough to have a selection but yet you could tell each dish was going to be well-executed. Really pleased with the gluten free options. The risotto was amazing! The oil/bean mixture served with bread at the start was well-liked, too. Overall a good meal and I recommend!

Food had a good flavor. Service was good as well. Everything was cooked very well. Very beautiful place, and it's clearly highly regarded. I think the only thing that stuck out was the Tiramisu. It was absolutely outstanding. Might have even been the best I ever had.

We have been here twice now and it has been lovely each time. It's a small but homey space. We didn't love the entrees the first time we went so we just went with the appies and pasta for the second time and they were all great! We got the pasta with clams and a ravioli with lobster and both were to die for. You definitely need reservations for this restaurant. The wait staff was all very polite and quick with the food. This is a great taste of north end boston.

Went here during the $1 oyster happy hour. The inside was very nice--felt like an authentic Italian restaurant. The oysters were fresh but a bit on the smaller size. However, that is understandable for happy hour. I also bought an appetizer, but I don't remember what it was. My only qualm was regarding the service, as I felt a quite rushed.

The vegan truffle risotto was pretty good but the vegan gnocchi and spaghetti and meatballs were more lacking in flavor imo. Still, nice to have a nice Italian place with many vegan options to pick from and the bread and dip were quite good

Must try vegan meatballs! Large variety of options including vegan / vegetarian and those who love meat & seafood as well. Lovely atmosphere with friendly & helpful service! Located in North End, directly off Richmond St

The food here is amazing. This is the first ever place I have been where they offered vegan wine. Also couple of vegan gf menu items. All of them were delicious.

We decided to do a dine in meal here with as they have a vegan menu. We ended up getting the risotto and potatoes as an app and the ravioli and meatball for entrees. The food was good but some of the items lacked a bit of flavor. The restaurant itself is a small area and there was a very loud group dining that night as well which ruined the ambiance.

The staff accommodated us despite us not having a reservation on a busy night. They were able to clear a table and sat us pretty quickly. They were very nice and had wonderful suggestions for our food and wine.

I'm not a huge fan of the North End in general. I'm a bit jaded by the tourists waiting in line for a subpar box of cannolis. That said as far as dining experiences go, Terramia was able to hold up and provide an above average experience. Gnocchi Ai Funghi - good balance of truffle oil and salt. Ravioli Alla Amatriciana - the smoked pancetta was the standout Pappardell with Shrimp - giant shrimp.. a bit too buttery for my taste Like all NE places, the space was tight... but overall the servers did a great job of accommodating. I also liked that the menu had good vegetarian options.

Absolutely the best ravioli I have ever had. The staff was amazing. We will definitely be back on our next trip. Thank you for your wonderful experience.

Loved this vegan friendly restaurant! It’s almost impossible to find a great Italian restaurant that will have more than just pasta for vegans. The options for our vegan friend were so often that of the 7 of us 3 ate vegan and 4 had an assortment of dishes. We loved the vegan and regular meatballs over polenta. The vegan ravioli and vegan gnocchi with fungi was excellent. Our party loved the lamb shank and the fish special. The service was excellent as well. Very attentive and we’re so on point. The restaurant is small but so warm and welcoming. We loved the atmosphere here. Great food and we will definitely be back!

Wow if you are in the North end Boston you must go to this amazing place! It’s got something for everyone in your family! The staff, the food, and the service are all 5 star! Go there asap!

Terramia is one of the few restaurants in North End that I think is a great place to take guests or friends who are visiting Boston for the first time. The place doesn’t get overly crowded, has a cozy mom and pop shop vibes, and the food is a fairly good representation of Italian food scene in the area. When I recently took my friends to Terramia on a last minute reservation, they were all satisfied with the overall experience. Although there wasn’t anything special or mind-blowing, they got all the basics done right. We liked the appetizers and the entrées more than the pastas, and the dipping sauce for the bread made of white bean paste and olive oil was superb. Standout dishes include the arancini, capesante, ossobuco di agnello, and the costata di Vitello. I would highly recommend giving them a try if you’re not familiar with the food scene in North End, but expect a bit of wait if you’re coming in during their prime dinner time.

Very quaint, lovely, and authentic Italian restaurant! My wife and I are vegan and loved both of the dishes. I got the spaghetti with vegan meatballs which tasted delicious. My wife got the gnocchi and it was one of the best we’ve had! We highly recommend trying out Terramia for a lovely Italian dinner!

Very good food!!! Marco such a great waiter he explained about the mountain and gave us recommendations for the trip! One of the best places to eat in the area. The risotto was fantastic but the pork should come with a salad considering the price vs the amount of food you received

Vegan menu, yes please! Always wonderful to take my non-vegan friends to a great restaurant where I can have a delicious meal as well. The vegan meatball appetizer, risotto & ravioli were all delicious! Our dinner guests had a deconstructed ravioli and gnocchi-rave reviews all around! And of course no review would be complete without mentioning the incredible staff and servers. We were never wanting for a refill, feels like a high end restaurant without the high end price. We will definitely return!

Food was very good across appetizers, main course and dessert. Service was engaged and a positive part of the experience. Had the veal and the rapini along with it was excellent. Setting is a little tight inside so loud parties can be distracting if that bothers you. Overall I will go again the next time I am in Boston. Walked there from my hotel across from the Garden. About 10 minutes.

Carbonara was the best pasta dish I’ve had since I was sentenced to a gluten free diet 6 years ago. Perfectly al dente (hard to get and be good w gf) and just the right level of creamy decadence was magical with the salt of the pancetta. I tried the Bolognese too and was less impressed. That one might need their home made pasta to be as outstanding as the other reviews state. I’ve eaten all over the world and have an experienced palette so trust me when I say I definitely recommend this dish.

Small intimate setting with indescribably delicious food. We were a party of 4 and every one of us had an exceptional experience with a meal that far exceeded our expectations. I normally hate scallops and almost changed my order but went with the open faced ravioli and the scallops ended up being my favorite part. Hands down the best I've ever had. It seems like you can't go wrong with anything they serve, this was undeniably the best meal we had in Boston! Thanks for the fantastic experience it made our trip!

Food was excellent. Amount of food was alright, not a ton on the plate. Very small, must have reservations.

Very intimate setting, service was great and sonny older gentleman told us jokes made all 5 of all laugh loudly. Food was amazing maybe a little more on plate would be good but I would def go back

We will be back! A wonderful experience from talking to the super kind young woman at the front of the house, when I called to say we'd be late for our reservation, straight through to our fantastic waiters who took great care of 7 hungry people looking for a great night out! Your food is out of this world and everyone made us feel like we were regulars! We will be for sure! Everyone's meal was perfect!!!!!!

My daughter & I found this little gem by a stroke of luck. We were there last October & happened upon it. Loved the atmosphere and the quaintness of the restaurant. But that was nothing to compare to the food! It was amazing!!! I was just back in Boston last week with my husband. I made reservations a month before our trip to ensure we could eat here. Once again, it was perfect in every way! The food, staff, atmosphere could not be better! Can't wait to return!

This small North End treasure is my favorite restaurant ever! The service is always pleasant and the food is amazing. The FritellediAragosta is the best appetizer ever
