A quaint spot in the city with excellent service. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. My family and I planned to eat dinner later so it was nice to be able to enjoy wine and fresh salad/app mid day. Upon serving the wine our waitress gave us a card explaining the origin and brief description which was a nice touch. Whether you're looking to have a meal or simply a pick me up, this is a great place to try.

Excellent food, beautiful presentation and friendly wait staff. A gem in the neighborhood! I had 2 small plates, the meatballs and pesto gnocchi which were outstanding! We had the private label Piattini chianti, which we enjoyed and would choose again. My husband had the scallops and pasta with lemon butter sauce, superb! We were so full, that we took a Tiramisu home and ate it in our hotel room later on last night. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Stopped in for a quick app and glass of wine. Amazing burrata and formaggio plate. Then couldn’t resist getting the Mussels in garlic and chopped salad. Great find on Newbury St. Ask Harry to make you a “Cloudy Day” cocktail. It is outstanding!

Piattini was a perfect location for an unplanned night out for dinner. The night was a beautiful, late October evening with outside seating. The service was excellent, the wine flights were perfect for tasting a variety of wines , and the food was top notch.

Loved the food here and our server went above and beyond to take care of us!! Best vegan mushroom ravioli ever. And, we loved the eggplant appetizer. My only recommendation would be to serve the bread warm instead of cold!

Excellent location, food and atmosphere. Ate on the patio. The food was delicious. Not over or under seasoned. Had the garlic bread, shrimp scampi, burrata ravioli, and spinach gnocchi. Definitely worth the visit. Will be back again.

Such a popular place! A simply wonderful place for dinner. Seeing all the people dine there confirmed that we were in for a wonderful dinner. I truly enjoyed my linguine with clams. Lots of clams. Al dente pasta. Simply fantastic. Others at our table ordered shrimp scampi and pizza. We are so glad we found this restaurant. Enjoy!

The food was delicious and the vibes were really nice! The price was just a bit high for the quantity (with their automatic 20% tip that also scales up tax and an additional kitchen tip), and additional bread costs extra too.

Had a really long day and this place made me forget all about it. Great service, fantastic atmosphere, food was amazing, and I got to enjoy it all while peacefully people watching and enjoying the light rain. My server was also adorable, super recommend this place :-)

Cute little spot that is very elegant and cozy! It is a great spot to try and enjoy some italian cuisine. I had appetizers: brussel sprouts with chorizo and prosciutto wrapped pears. My favorite out of the two is definitely the brussel sprouts with chorizo! For entrees, i tried the bolognese and short ribbed pasta! Both are delicious but i maybe liked the short ribbed pasta slightly more. I had to try the dessert which was the tiramisu. The waiter told us that the tiramisu is made by an Italian elder every morning so it could be had the next day. I enjoyed the tiramisu with a cup of cappuccino. The portion sizes are excellent and will keep you full and happy! The tiramisu is worth trying out and sharing it with another person. They did an excellent job with the taste of the meal and balancing it out to ensure that every customer leaves with a happy tummy! The customer service was wonderful, too! The prices are fair. It was great that they also have a mocktail selection so if you do not drink alcohol, like myself, try out the mocktails! I had the passion for mojito and it was good! I highly recommend this restaurant in the area!

One of our favorite gems in Boston. We visit annually and are never disappointed with the food or service. The best part of Piattini is the patio. First come, first-seated, so plan accordingly. Alcohol-free options include a "zero proof" section on the drink menu. The seasonal passion fruit "nojito" was extraordinary!

Best unknown date place in Boston for Italian food. The prices went up a lot recently, but for lunch it’s still really good for the price and the vibe. Super romantic and cozy with an upbeat atmosphere. Bosciaola pasta 5/5, arugula salad w/ prosciutto 4/5, and shrimp salad 5/5. Free bread 11/10

Been on my go-to list for over a year maybe and yesterday was the first chance I got to visit. Was a little bummed that I couldn’t get outdoor seating, we had to settle for an indoor dining experience or risk waiting a lot longer. The staff was super courteous and helpful in giving recommendations to us. The Caesar salad with honey vinaigrette dressing started off things for us. Piattini has wine flights and for someone willing to try out wine, this is a splendid option. My friend got the espresso martini which packed quite a punch. The star of the show was burrata stuffed ravioli with fried eggplant on a pesto & truffle cream sauce blend. The pesto compliments truffle cream very well. We skipped dessert since we were short of time. On our request the wait staff also got us some fig jam to sample since I was showing interest in trying it out. 11 on 10 for customer service. Overall, I felt that we had a wonderful experience at Piattini and would definitely recommend a visit.

Great outdoor seating! The food is pretty decent. The capesante really stood out for us with good flavor without being too salty. The salmon special pasta was quite salty. The mussels were pretty good. The staff was very friendly.

This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the Back Bay neighborhood. I come here at least once a month and for many special occasions since 2018! The staff is so kind, & they just want the best for their customers. Everyone is so polite and very knowledgeable of the food. I actually love how they have a decent amount of vegetarian variety on the menu. My all-time favorite dish is the eggplant melenzane (idk if I spelled that correctly). The sauce that comes with is divine. I don’t even like eggplant but the chef really transformed this dish. It’s unreal. I’ve also gotten every vegetarian salad every vegetarian pasta / ravioli and pizza. Could not recommend this place enough!! Check it out :)

Absolutely delicious! Great service, and great atmosphere. I would highly recommend trying this place out if you are in the back bay. It's in a fun part of the city, yet the bushes they have in their seating make it feel more private. We all loved our food and would definitely go back. Just be aware of parking, always tough to find in Boston.

I have no idea how Piattini does not have a higher review!! Though it is a bit pricey, what you get is so worth it! It is the perfect date and dinner spot. My favorite pizza has been taken off the menu but truly everything they have is amazing. My favorite dish besides the pizza is the bosciola pasta which is a penne with ham and mushrooms and a really creamy tomato sauce (and I hate tomato sauce)!! I love coming here and the vibe is so nice and the servers are so cute LOL. But also, we ordered the salad (arugula salad and shrimp salad) and both were so bomb. I def recommend coming here if you are in Boston.

(All my reviews are overall) I ordered the Bolognese and my company ordered some what the same but can not remember the name. Absolutely both delicious. Noodles were both homemade. Sauce tasted authentic and smooth. Doggies allowed! Outside sitting only but beautiful view and they offer the pups some water too. Right next to the walking path with the menu for you to see. Bread while you wait with vinegar on the side. Service was nice and quick! Would definitely go again with my furry companion.

The whole experience here was a little weird. Sat in the back of the big awkward back room. My Salmon was raw in the middle, one of our steaks ordered rare came well done and the server gave us an attitude out the door when we accidentally didn’t tip extra on top of included gratuity because our friend didn’t understand what they were asking and couldn’t read the handheld toast without his glasses & he was rushing us to sign.
